If you frame the argument dishonestly, sure, but I can do that too.

'Babies deserve to live'

'Let women kill babies'

Where would the voters in 'forced birth' states go in that case, I wonder?

If you're doing good science, it may lead you into politically incorrect areas.

It almost certainly will. In Current Year, political correctness is essentially just lies and delusion; 99% of the time, the truth exists outside of what is acceptable to say or think. It is no longer possible for good (i.e. real) science to remain within the realm of the politically correct.

Even if your field deals with something completely uncontroversial (which is extremely rare these days), simply being willing to discard delusion and acknowledge truth puts you so far into politically incorrect territory you can't even see land anymore.

a physician's political views are irrelevant to his professional competence

Disagree, even if Odenkirk was wildly incorrect here.

If their politics involve denying reality and pursuing awful policy for the sake of political correctness, they are more likely to be incompetent in any field. And you're much better off with a doctor who will actually employ their brain instead of parroting dogma handed down by pharmaceutical companies.

Interesting perspective! Unfortunately I have to discard it until you provide photographic evidence of you dating a bald man under 6 feet tall.

The specter of anti-semitism is heavily ingrained in their culture and history. It's what drives their 'us against the world' attitude, which is what drives their nepotism and is often used as internal justification for outright subversion and blatant dishonesty. Which, over time, turn fake, non-existent or rare antisemitism into real antisemitism. And the cycle continues.

Mr Aonuma seems confused. Tears of the Kingdom IS the DLC.

I woke up today not knowing about this. From this moment forth my world is a little bit darker.

Why does every unelected communist regime quickly reintroduce the same STASI kangaroo court system?

Because fear is the only way they can hold onto power once everyone sees how destructive their policies are.

It wasn't 'diverse' in the sense they understand it, which involves shoving every single race into a single neighborhood. It was about cooperation that transcended nationality. It also had a pretty long run didn't it?

This is not just evil, it's insulting. They know their constituents have historically been easily led and had terrible memories, so they think all they need to do is gaslight some more.

That may be true, but I hope not. It's hard to forget being coerced and shamed into get injected with something, especially if that something was promised to be safe but harmed you or your loved ones. People may feel powerless to do something about it, but they're not going to forget in a hurry.

I hope.

There's gonna be thousands of videos of them acting like lunatics with their names and faces tied to them

I do agree that shouting and screaming isn't coming from a position of strength, but on the other hand I think it's high time our side were prepared to get vocally angry about all this. The whole time we've been playing defensively.

Anyway, this twitter dweeb, like most of his kin, assume their cultural dominance is going to continue, and I really don't think it will. I think and very much hope that he is mistaken about who will have difficulties getting hired in future.

I don't think they have faith in it, but they're trying to do things 'the right way' to illustrate how corrupt it is, and to exhaust all options because they're not prepared to cross the Rubicon. And may not ever be.

I suppose so. It still doesn't quite ring true to me but it is slightly more believable that way. I still don't see Bethesda making statements but I suppose they could have been infiltrated by writers and artists who would.

It's not a biological need like oxygen, water, and food are, you won't die if you don't do it, which is why I hedged my words a bit. I would agree though for the most part. There's probably a better word to describe it than 'need', but it's close enough.

The final boss is a tranny who is revealed to be the actual hero who is trying to protect the universe from the actual villain which is a conservative white man who insist on calling you with female or male pronouns despite no one else doing this.

I might have believed the post if not for this line. I know [Current Year] is forever getting even more [Current] but I don't think Bethesda would risk invalidating genderspecials by even having a villain ignore their pronouns. Even evil villains have to be non-threatening when it comes to bigotry.

I could see it if it was a bolder game by bolder devs, but Bethesda games are not games that make statements. They're inoffensive, increasingly dumbed down cash cows.

(I also think I would have heard about this elsewhere by now)

Call it confirmation bias if you will, but I've been reading a lot of stories like this lately. It seems that Christianity is the next major target for subversive entryism (which makes sense since it's a strong right-wing bastion, and a stable source of tradition, identity and community).

People like these are not actually pastors, they have no sincerity to bring to the role and probably don't even believe in God. It's a shallow, trendy identity for them at best but more likely it's deliberate infiltration.

That, or the propaganda has become so ubiquitous and effective that Christian leaders are falling like dominos.

It could be argued that this borders on a biological need - at least our bodies seem to think so - so of course they have chosen to vilify it.

I don't think a studio should be shitcanned over just 1 game because such a thing is a death sentence to creativity and innovation

You're coming at this from a rational perspective that considers the impact on the industry at large, and I agree with you in spirit.

But if that 1 game is squarely aimed at subverting an existing series and giving a middle finger to its fans, I absolutely think a studio should be shitcanned for it.
