I don't think a studio should be shitcanned over just 1 game because such a thing is a death sentence to creativity and innovation

You're coming at this from a rational perspective that considers the impact on the industry at large, and I agree with you in spirit.

But if that 1 game is squarely aimed at subverting an existing series and giving a middle finger to its fans, I absolutely think a studio should be shitcanned for it.
