I remember watching the very first episode and I thought it was slow paced and very boring. Then after months and months of people talking about how dark and "Lovecraftian" it was I decided to give it another chance. I ended up really liking it and I've since watched all of the seasons. Season 1 was really great, season 2 was good (but definitely the worst of the three seasons), and season 3 was pretty good though not as good as season 1. It's very slow paced and possibly even boring at times, but the atmosphere of the show was good. In light of recent events like the wealthy and their parties with Epstein (which definitely happened) and Pizza Gate (who fucking knows), the whole background plots were really prescient and creepy. I think you (or anyone else reading this comment) should definitely give it another chance. I don't remember it being woke. Though of course I have no stake if you do or don't and I definitely don't want any of you spending money on any media if you can avoid it especially with the way Joe Biden and his handlers are doing their goddamndest to destroy the economy.
