There are honestly a lot of Rock/Metal bands that are starting to become more open about being on the MAGA side, or at least the anti-woke side. And I dont see that changing any time soon, especially as more celebrities are starting to be open about backing Trump and America.

I have long been insisting that the last 4 years were the "History Rhymes" version of the 1970's, and that we would likely get into a new 80's in the near future. You are living in it. And much like back then, Hollywood and other media groups will probably start pumping out patriotic fair because that is some of the only stuff that has made money and they are desperate for money (much like the 1970's Hollywood was after all of their arthouse movies of the time).

Not sure if actually malicious or lazy to the point it is indistinguishable from malice.

Either way, in a fair world, this woman would have her license revoked and be lucky to be working a dead-end job instead of something important. Unfortunately, New York City is not a fair world, even if parts of it are trying to fight back to that place (Staten Island and large parts of Long Island voted Trump, and have been leading the cause against the NYC government).

Don't forget, he already had a border with a NATO country before all of this. It's called Poland. No UN Peacekeeping force needed. Especially when Belorussia exists.

Putins own actions also caused new NATO borders to be created due to Finland joining. So if his goal was to rage against NATO he did a poor job of it (much like how people ignore all of those Eastern European nations would have a very good reason to join NATO). A NATO patrolled DMZ would also be just as good at keeping UKRAINE from doing anything just as much as it keeps Russia from doing anything, and now their lack of NATO membership isnt really a big deal. Honestly, Trumps proposed peace deal with probably the best outcome for Ukraine while allowing Russia to save what little face they have left, even if it pisses off both the NAFO types and the Vatniks.

And on a wide note, it is part of why I do actually like Hegseth for SecDef. It was obvious to me from some of the interviews I watched that he understands the true nature of war that a lot of people forgot (or told themselves to forget) because it is brutal and they dont like it: Peace is rarely achieved in war through documents and negotiations. Peace is achieved through crushing your enemies, seeing them driven before you, and hearing the lamentations of their women. And we in the collective West have allowed ourselves to become deluded into believing that we can diplomacy our way out of all things, and is why we have allowed our militaries to become social experiments instead of lethal weapons. Hegseth understands all of that, and is ready and willing to take a hatchet to the entire DOD to turn it into a weapon again, and do it quick because he knows the threat from China is paramount and he has until 2027 to get it done (at least according to Xi's sabre rattling).

Hopefully, he starts with the Navy and the Marines. They would be the two most important in a potential war with China, and while the Air Force would also be important there they have less issues in their warfighting arm compared to the other two.

I am aware of Wu's true nature, but I am simply running with what is used in most reporting for the sake of consistency.

I started watching it the other day and was planning on finishing it at work.

From about 10 minutes in, here are some noteworthy things:

  1. Wu points out how the Democrats are and the Left as a movement is completely out of touch with the podcast scene, pointing out that the Triggernometry guys have had plenty of major (and many actually in office) Right wing politicians come on their show, but not a single prominent Left wing one. She also places the first sign she knew Kamala was going to lose as when she refused to go on Rogan.

  2. In relation to the above, she says it is because the Left is scared of having their ideals challenged and need going to start into the spaces where people actually are. Konstantin points out that this is because many of the prominent Left wing individuals are not being honest about what they believe and come off as inauthentic, which makes the podcast scene impossible for them to survive in.

  3. She starts to talk about the Trans Movement and that the movement as a whole is largely delusional about the American people and their disinterest in actually changing. Specifically, that they dont seem to understand that the American people are extremely upset at the movement, and that their refusal to acknowledge the inappropriate books in schools and the attempts to trans the kids were only ever going to result in rage and condemnation.

However, I also watched her episode from when she was on Triggernometry the first time, and I will say this: She had a lot of "I am upset it is effecting me now" in terms of what she is complaining about the Progressive movement, and there is also a lot of "I hope you dont remember the things I did in Gamergate." She also still thinks that Gamergate was in the wrong from that video, by the by. You know, in case you thought she actually realized her principles were wrong.

I was unaware he had changed later on, so I take back what I said then.

Haley is completely understandable. Pompeo was a pretty staunch Trump ally even after Jan 6 went down, so that he kind of surprising he went hard "no" on him. But it could just be he didnt have any ideas of where to put him.

After the UK threatened to extradite US citizens for their comments on the riots over there, a lot of even the most Pro-NATO people I know are completely on board with the US asserting its dominance and making the EU their bitch. If for no other reason than to remind them who actually has the power.

then have his name and face removed from every single record in the military; as we do with Benedict Arnold.

I actually wrote my senior thesis on Benedict Arnold in college (on how he is considered the unique American traitor because he was considered a war hero before his treason), and there are some even funnier ones than that. My personal favorite being that at the memorial for the Battle of Bemis Heights during the overall Saratoga campaign (where Arnold was shot and had his leg permanently crippled), there is a monument. It is a statue of a leg, with nothing else, and the dedication is to "A heroic American general who's name has been lost to time."

And that is still better than Miley deserves.

What are you talking about? The 5th Gen fighter (that uses the same engines as their 4th Gen fighter) is totally stealthy (it has the same RCS as an F-18 Hornet...fully loaded) and is of supreme build quality (it has exposed wood screws). Fear the glorious Su-57....all 9 of them.

This is why I was saying pretty early on to just ignore Russia, respond to their nuclear threats with "You wont, no balls" and let Ukraine off the leash. That time was about a year or two ago, and now the best outcome for everyone is Donbas is lost, Ukraine enters some sort of military protection from the US to make sure this doesnt happen again, and Russia gets to go back home with what is left of its dignity.

Honestly, a lot of the big name Vtubers have fairly good relationships with their families. It is part of why I have argued they are a better representation of normal people than a lot of streamers, as ironic as that is due to their virtual nature.

And this is why I am insisting that this wont be like last time where woke stuff exploded in the first Trump term. The Popular Vote win breaks so many of the narratives the woke used to convince companies of their DEI bullshit, where they argued that "We have the mandate, not him". Well, it has been definitively proven now, after 8 years, not only do they have no mandate but it may have made the situation they were claiming to correct worse.

The activist will still keep pushing, and there will absolutely be companies that will ride that bomb all the way to the ground like it is the end of Dr. Strangelove. But far more companies are going to say "We are done here, get lost" and try to do whatever they can to salvage some of their reputation back. It will still require vigilance, but I think we can start to say we are turning the corner.

Surely it is not that easy. Surely it is because he is going to offer some sort of extreme concessions to them and prop up dictators. That is what I was told by the policy geniuses after all.

And you know damn well if Russia and Ukraine reach some sort of ceasefire, they are just going to use it as proof that Trump is a Putin stooge, even though that is still a massive lose of face for Putin.

There is also generally a difference in both attitude and belief even if the religion is roughly the same. Hell, you can even see it in the data with the fact that Protestants were still more Red than Catholics.

New rules: Doomers are either enemy infiltrators or internal saboteurs. No other options, and treat them as such.

3

They got absolutely plastered by Hispanics as well. Almost a 50-50 split, and Trump outright won Hispanic Men. They were down in everything...except Black Women and College-Educated White Women. Literally the DEI demographics. So you can guess what will be on the chopping block in short order.

Love our geniuses, we must protect them. They will be what gives the US its next golden age.

Moreover, I think Trump's victory was just too vast. They need to have at least the air of legitimacy around them as they do their things, and they may have tried to pull it off if it was another case of an EC win but PV loss. But with Trump not only winning the EC, not only running the table and winning every single swing state, but also running up the numbers in Blue states and winning a healthy advantage on the PV, they cant pull it off. It would be a bridge too far. Their credibility is already shot as it is. The only thing they can do is pull back and try to find a new angle to come at things from, and that means Trump gets in and Kamala is politically toast.

TheModernDaVinci 8 points ago +8 / -0

I had already come around to it being my stance, but this just solidifies it for me. Anyone and everyone engaging in blackpilling and doomerism is to be regarded as either an enemy interloper or a traitor saboteur. There is no other explanation.

And in the end, the fun part being the hard part is what will make it easier to do. Pick your favorite hype music and get to it.

Orthodox jews in NYC go more than 80% for Trump.

The fun one is he is doing this while also outperforming with Arabs/Muslims. Mostly on the grounds that while they arent super happy with his support of Israel and Jews, they do like the Abraham Accords and his commitment to trying to achieve peace in the Middle East.

It is fucking hilarious to me that the Dems threw Gov. Shapiro under the bus for the crime of "Der Juden" hoping it would help them in Michigan with Muslims, only for it to fall through and drag them down across the board.

We are very lucky they are so fucking stupid.

Moreover, there has already been a lot of reshoring taking place because a lot of companies (as well as startups) are finding out that China is nowhere near as cheap as it used to be as their financial situation worsens and their population bomb starts to materialize. Yes, you are still going to have the ultra-massive international conglomerates trying to cut their nose to spit their face and remain overseas, but the last time Trump was in office we also saw a lot of domestic startups rising up to compete with them.
