Surely it is not that easy. Surely it is because he is going to offer some sort of extreme concessions to them and prop up dictators. That is what I was told by the policy geniuses after all.
And you know damn well if Russia and Ukraine reach some sort of ceasefire, they are just going to use it as proof that Trump is a Putin stooge, even though that is still a massive lose of face for Putin.
Long term, it's definitely not so easy. Those desert tribes have been fighting each other for centuries, so taking a short break to wait for a strong leader to hit his term limit probably isn't a big deal to them.

No, this is consolidation. They've gained substantial ground and eliminated a substantial number of Palestinians. It's a slow process of eventual control of the whole area.
If you look at a map of Israeli settlements post 1947, you see a constant growth in their borders. Gain and consolidate. Gain and consolidate.

Zelensky sent a congratulatory message to Trump that was so bloated and waffling it's clear he's trying to suck up hard now that Biden et al aren't going to be footing his bills any more.
Trump bragged he could end the war between Russia and Ukraine if he had 24h to negociate with Putin and Zelensky.
I'll be amazed if he manages that by March. EIther way if he takes 25 hours the media will spend a week publishing articles and news segments saying ''Trump lied, Trump couldn't deliver a peace deal as promissed ( missed deadline ), etc.
Best response to that would then be to release [probably redacted] minutes of the talks showing the actual time spent rather than the days is took and still having the total time be under 24 hours.
