Sorry, but there's nothing sexy about some perverts at the NSA peeping freely whenever they feel like it.
That's not even getting into safety concerns regarding your children, when unknown strangers can track and watch them anywhere and everywhere.
The real issue is they're concerned that people aren't forming families irl, which are necessary to keep the machine of society running. However, instead of recognizing that many of the other things they're doing economically and socially are huge contributors, they're hyper focused on trying to solve the problem exclusively in the realm of media, because they refuse to even consider that their lust for power and profit could be at fault, and especially the role that pervasive surveillance plays in infringing upon opportunities for romance. Despite how hard they've pushed to try and normalize the idea that being watched is sexy, most people will never actually agree with them on that point.
They've totally lost the original meaning of the word, specifically the "involuntary" part of it. I'm sure there are plenty of other men like myself who have made the conscious decision to abstain from sex while we sort out the rest of the utter cluster fuck the world has become, so that we can actually provide a good life for the women we will love.
Children can't meaningfully consent because they don't have the mental faculties to do it.
...which results in a power imbalance when compared to an adult. You basically just restated the same thing with different words.
I'm pretty uncomfortable (understatement) with the lion's share of the loli/shota stuff that's out there, but I feel like the incendiary nature of the entire issue has taken the debate away from what the real issue is, as it was explained to me while I was growing up: Paedophilia is wrong because of the massive power imbalance between the child and the adult. Because the adult has such vastly greater life experience, and can remember what the world was like when they themselves were children, even claims that it was consensual are effectively meaningless. This is also why consent laws are even tighter when other power imbalances are involved, such as a teacher/student, boss/employee or guardian/charge. What I personally find significant about all this is how the same concept of power imbalances can be applied to morality in other aspects of life, and it bothers me that the dumbing down of this issue could be making it harder for people to recognize exploitation and abuse in non-sexual situations as well, such as youth engagement on social media.
Yea, totally had nothing to do with how they leveraged immense wealth and social connections in a concerted effort to destroy people they disagreed with (and not just those individuals, but also a massive number of innocent bystanders), including a special session of the united fucking nations to complain about people saying mean things to them online.
If you honestly believe that's at all accurate, you desperately need to get off the Internet. A huge part of the problems have been caused by male feminist allies who were imagining the exact same dynamic that you are, but decided to attempt to help their delusions instead of railing against them as you are.
Consider how many unique posters you actually interact with, compared to the total number of people in the world. Your sample size is extraordinarily tiny, and signal boosted by an even tinier number of wealthy individuals who use technology manipulatively to feed you cherry picked examples that serve their narratives.
Is there a better site that has a comparable mod database? If they keep this shit up though, based mods may catch up.
