The real issue is they're concerned that people aren't forming families irl, which are necessary to keep the machine of society running. However, instead of recognizing that many of the other things they're doing economically and socially are huge contributors, they're hyper focused on trying to solve the problem exclusively in the realm of media, because they refuse to even consider that their lust for power and profit could be at fault, and especially the role that pervasive surveillance plays in infringing upon opportunities for romance. Despite how hard they've pushed to try and normalize the idea that being watched is sexy, most people will never actually agree with them on that point.
Sorry, but there's nothing sexy about some perverts at the NSA peeping freely whenever they feel like it.
That's not even getting into safety concerns regarding your children, when unknown strangers can track and watch them anywhere and everywhere.
Yea... you definitely don't know the first thing about the importance of romance if you think that's what it's about.
