what might have caused the large increase in recent times

I'm guessing atrazine in the water, soy in the bread, and pollutants that mimic estrogen.

Do RPGs count? I'm near the end of Dragon Quest six.

Having played through all of the first five, eight, and most of six and seven; unless nine or eleven blow me away, I'd say five really is the best in the series.

I vaguely remember Trump saying something last spring about people staying in their house all the time ruining their eyesight.

You only really notice or care about the logic the first 30 minutes of the game. After that

... you accept it as a normal part of the game. This is how you know the brainwashing is starting to settle in.

Berserk (1997) - Excellent.

"While many can pursue their dreams in solitude, other dreams are like great storms blowing hundreds, even thousands of dreams apart in their wake. Dreams breathe life into men and can cage them in suffering. Men live and die by their dreams. But long after they have been abandoned they still smolder deep in men’s hearts. Some see nothing more than life and death. They are dead, for they have no dreams." - Griffith

Gargantia in the Verdurous Planet

Expelled from Paradise was also written by Gen Urobuchi and has similar themes.

Started a re-watch of Spice and Wolf. Finished the first arc. Not sure when I'll find time to fit in the next. I enjoyed the show enough to buy the novels.

Recently re-watched Ride Back. I remember liking it more the first time I saw it. This time around I noticed how rushed the ending was. I still consider it an enjoyable show, but the sudden resolution of the larger conflicts at the end might disappoint some.

For filler I occasionally catch an episode of Yuru Yuri, Tonari no Seki-kun: The Master of Killing Time, or Armor Shop for Ladies & Gentlemen. Just short comedies when I don't want to commit a large block of time to following through a show.

He didn't have to perform naked while filming that episode.

He did it anyway.

Thankfully the camera stayed above the waistline during those scenes.

Though I feel sorry for those Kardashians on the set that were forced to watch.
