This would be very based, but it's probably meant for dissidents.

Affluent white liberals are funny people. Faggoty luxury beliefs are how they distinguish themselves from the hoi palloi and they force it on everyone else, but they actually implement the evil nazi ideas in their own backyards when given the opportunity. Their mating and migratory patterns make the Klan look anti-racist.

He's freaking the fuck out right now over Prop 20, which specifically taxes people making over $2.5m/year. He's being called out by his own radical base for protecting the rich.

It will no doubt be abused in that way, whether it was originally intended to or not.

While "severe mental illness" should include being a criminal sexual deviant who hasn't broken any laws but refuses to cooperate with government, I agree that there is concern that they may wrongfully institutionalize legitimate government critics.

Well, Newsom isn't in prison yet, so I guess it isn't working as advertised.

Let me guess, middle aged men pretending to be anime princesses won't count.

Gov. Gavin Newsom officially signs CARE Court, which sets up judicial branches in each CA county to issue court-ordered care to the unhoused, severely mentally ill.

So we're setting up a special court system for this, too.

Whispers of "Star Chamber" in the distance

But Governor Newsom is a Democrat! All of the media organisations, who are all perfectly honest and never mislead their customers, tell me that he's a personification of kindness and good in the world!

Gavin Newsom is the 4th horse of the plague apocalypse. He's pure poison.

See how he's medicalizing California; free abortions, free medical for illegals, free transgender operations, free drug paraphernalia, free vaccines, now free 'treatment' for mental illness. After his overwhelming coof failures he moved onto the next levels of government medical intrusion to impose its will on the people.

This slimy rat is a bio-weapon.

Crazy and deranged by CALIFORNIA standards....

So that'll be dads still an active part of the family, anyone who practices abstinence of any kind, still pays for stuff, cleans up after themselves, isn't whoring themselves out etc.

That's the trouble with the homeless problem.

What people with mental illness is asylums where they can be treated and kept safe.

The trouble is that the people that put them there are the government which is a non starter.

They're bringing back insane asylums? That's one way to solve the homeless crisis I guess.

That's actually an extremely effective way to solve it, given that most of them belong in asylums and a good number of them were originally let loose from there.

He's desperately trying to reform his squishy oligarch image for 2024. All the video of miles and miles (and miles) of homeless encampments will call him out as a liar.

MSM probably won't show them, though.

I expect he's going to start pretending to be tough on crime next. All the video of miscreants looting stores will call him out as a liar.

Yeah. Most of America won't be seeing those videos from the MSM either.

If this is implemented in any meaningful way, I'd be willing to bet that it turns out the insane are the minority of street-sleepers.

Junkies and lazy druggies make up the majority and they refuse public housing if it won't allow them to buy and sell their fentanyl, crack, and meth.

Still, it's insane to give Newsome's California this much power.

So California is one step closer to Escape from LA?

I wish I could be as naive as those of you who think it's for the homeless.

But I'm certain it's for anyone who thinks 2020 was stolen or that Gavin's recall election was rigged.

If this will lock up homeless it’s a good thing.

We’ll see how it plays out!
