I can't tell if you're joking but you're right, it's just a screencap. It looks like it's true, happened almost two years ago though https://nypost.com/2023/03/24/miami-beach-braces-for-new-spring-break-chaos/
Edit: I linked the wrong Miami double homicide
It’s shocking and frightening that some people don’t know Nazi’s were big government socialists. You don’t crush political opponents and take over countries by reducing government spending and control
I mean he linked the video the post was talking about, just not the TIKHistory video (which, frankly, sounds kind of scuzzy).
Also while I want to make it clear Hitler is evil and I'm not absolving him of anything, the particular video he linked seems to be Hitler complaining about how the US won't take any jewish refugees, despite having 1/65th the population density. He then has gripes about treatment after WWI, such as holding soldiers as prisons long after the war ended.
I read "The Myth of the Twentieth Century" (by one of the nazi intellectuals) and it surprised me how "sophisticated" their racism was. They had nothing against most races, but they felt if they were to implement some form of socialist society, it would rely on everyone being equal. Rosenberg looked at India and remarked how it should be a world-class country, but the caste system created a system of oppression that inhibited the countries culture and in turn its economy. Instead of being creative, people had to spend their lives oppressing lower castes, and lower castes couldn't contribute meaningfully.
To be very clear I'm not saying Hitler isn't evil, or that he is absolved of anything, just that he didn't convince the most educated country in the world to vote for him by being evil. There was a certain amount of sophistication to his logic, and any given Nazi would likely have a reasonably complete argument as to why they were on the good side of history.
I will add the quality of the AI translation is incredible. It sounds like it's recorded on a mic from the period, and it has his voice.
I haven’t seen the video, but I assume the argument here is that 1) the live-English videos are more interesting to watch now, and 2) the English translations were translated in such a way to make Hitler sound lame, while AI is providing more accurate translations
Even before clearing his store, he was selling sweatpants for $20; he used to sell them for hundreds of dollars each. I suspect something is fundamentally different now and he's not making much money before the stunt
I agree with everything else though
I agree, building a reasonably useful storefront from scratch would take a couple engineers a couple months, and that's assuming you use a payment processor like Stripe. Even when using spotify, Kanye made a custom UX which probably cost a non-trivial amount.
I think sometimes we forget how much of cancel culture/censorship partially just revolves around sales. A lot of people are only cancelled when they stop making money or lose their popularity, and partly why lgbt groups are so beloved by companies is because they're highly responsive to ads (or at least were during my brief time in marketing).
Kanye dropped the price of his products to like $20 each, I'm betting they were selling terribly and he was trying to dump stock
As happy as I am they did this, I can't help but wonder if it's in part because they can't monetize ads on steam lol.
It will cut down on people producing iOS games and then uploading them to steam for seemingly no reason though which is nice
I was thinking that too. Before he took the rest of the site down, he was selling sweatpants for $20. Demand must have really been falling off lol
I’m pretty sure Rumble is a Canadian company, they’re headquartered in Toronto at the very least
Edit: it’s headquartered in Canada but the CEO and founder (Chris) posted this and has a US headquarters in Florida. I’m going to assume he knows more than I do since he’s CEO lol
It's incredible someone can type that out without seeing the hypocrisy in their words. The outlets can't be independent so long as governments are funding them to say things
I mean it’s likely a coincidence; I would be shocked if they kept so little cash on hand that missing a single month’s revenue would send the company into bankruptcy. That said, I would expect to see a couple layoffs from the end of the payments
In the interest of fairness, back links says X users fell in 2023, and has no data for 2024 (when Brazil banned them) https://backlinko.com/twitter-users
How did X grow in 2025? Wasn’t there a ban in Brazil?
Honestly my dad has been freaking out over Elon musk making a Nazi salute, and it isn’t funny, it’s just sad. People shouldn’t forget how to act just because the opposition party won. Republicans are pretty good about tolerating a loss and dealing with setbacks, the left isn’t
Do they realize Nazi’s were socialists? I’m fine beating socialism again
One can hope, I’m sick of getting rejected from jobs by guys who don’t hire white people
Honestly I wouldn't say that, there is a high probability that the DOGE goes nowhere, and long-term it will just make people who's jobs are threatened hate him. Even if your job is to dig and then fill those same ditches, if you have a family depending on your income, you'll probably be mad if you get fired. DOGE will make a lot of people mad, and then the supreme court may not even let him cut funding
I had an interview at a big tech company recently for an engineering role; 5 of the 6 people who interviewed me spoke English as their second language. One of them clearly spent her free/work time speaking Hindi (or some other Indian language), because we could barely communicate.
I didn't get the role, but wasn't even fair. There was no way I was getting the role, and I worry even if we stopped all H1-B's tomorrow it would be too late.
I've seen studies that say over 30% of white people at colleges like MIT or Harvard are of Jewish (specifically Ashkenazi Jewish) heritage. I don't mean any hate to them with this comment, just that it is a striking figure given they're ~2% of the US population.
I agree with point 1 and 3. The reality is needing an abortion is incredibly rare, and except for the most degenerate of people the likelihood you'd even need one is pretty low. But watching my aunt raise a child with an intellectual disability makes me want the option to have an abortion
Unrelated but I have never seen that word before, and had to google it to see whether it was a typo. Interesting
