Is it me or does all this kinda negate the "born this way" argument?
I mean, to go from near zero %s to a massive amount of the population, at some point with the born this way argument someone must have tainted the drinking water of a whole generation of pregnant mothers for something to genetically change that fast lol.
- Yes
- A week ago - not because of the mandate, my company paid me 1000 dollars to do it. Price was good enough for me to be a test subject :P
- Pfizer
- Only if they pay me a lot. The boosters are so stupid and worthless I legit want more than 1k for one.
Well at some point Christmas has been treated incredibly disrespectfully for many many years..... I mean most of us grew up with literally every movie tv show or tv special saying the true meaning of Christmas is some "be nice to each other" thing basically which regardless of your religious view clearly is not the "true meaning of Christmas." In fact that is actually quite offensive to say given the holiday is about something VERY specific that is not that.
So, it is not that unreasonable to be a bit acclimated to complete secular trashing of a holiday for marketing purposes lol.
I never had an issue with "black actors." Heck some of my fave actors over the years have been black.
it is that, they are clearly stuffing this down our throat in a "hey you must be racist well take this!" way in a way that also ruins the verisimilitude due to demographics.
I recall once I saw this shakespeare play I had never seen. One of the histories. I get if it is some small production and you get what you can get, but when the king of england's brother comes out and is black, it actually really confused me and made me lose track of the play because I legit thought this was some sort of affair subplot that was going to happen. It was honestly confusing when you had these two blood related people in ol' england completely different races like that. Not that it can't happen, but it legit stood out so much it took you out of the play because I truly thought it must be some subplot.
It is like the "mixed race" couples in EVERY SINGLE FREAKIN' COMMERCIAL. I legit have never had a problem with mixed race couples, have had mixed race couple friends, and it never came to my mind as a "thing" to be annoyed with or whatever.... But they are lecturing to me is what they are doing. Trying to teach me how hateful and bigoted I am so let's make literally every commercial have a family of 17 different races where literally none are adopted and all are blood.
Honestly it is creating a backlash. Instead of seeing a black actor in a movie and just enjoying the movie not thinking"about him being black" I almost auto backlash against it now cause I just assume it is a woke movie and [seriously these movies are so racist 99% of the time too] where every single villain is some evil white guy. I have no problem with that either, some of the best villains out there are white guys just as there great villains of all sorts.... but it is so predictable and rote and their villains have no depth because they don't have a real grasp on reality to write a good villain. They are just generic rich Trump stand in white billionares.
Yeah, I mean there may be some thing, like Alec had some secret hatred of the man for 10 years for some past slight, but maybe not best to jump to a conclusion on this one unless there is an actual reason [even if the guy is a bit of a dirtbag]. Sometimes accidents just happen.
Hey, if it turns out there was stuff like he was sleeping with his wife or something then maybe we'll talk....
This legit isn't even all of them. I remember in September [I know about this cause my work was touting it on their company calendar all week] there was a Bisexual something or other week with then like a Friday or something being the "super holiday" or something. It was something like the week was bisexual awareness week and then the Friday or something was then, within that same week, bisexual history day or SOMETHING like that.
So we are getting special sub-holidays within these holidays as well.
And I don't think it was something exclusive to my work, as in the company calendar they were touting it like some national day or something.
I sure hope I hope that guy gets so rich
