Irredeemable has a quite a rocky ending and occasionally gets overshadowed by Incorruptible. The basis for why Tony snaps was very grounded and one of the better "evil Superman" inspirations but it feels like Irredeemable lasts just a bit too long with its 37 issues vs the 30 for Incorruptible.
Brit, Capes, and Guarding the Glob
Brit gets weird with the dimension jumping stuff but then that's somewhat consistent with the Invincible universe. I only read Capes recently despite the run being out for so long and it was both a great read and unfortunate victim of the main story when it caught up to certain events. GtG has some very worthwhile reading for what happens to Rudy and Monster Girl, though.
There are a few other related comics set in the same universe. Techjacket is the universe's Blue Beetle stand in and there's a comic somewhere about the werewolf character, but both are far more detached from Invincible than the others. Still quite good.
Debt of Honor
I have a physical copy of this somewhere as well as a TNG story I haven't ever been able to remember the name of that involved a water planet being evacuated. Both were some of the first non live action Star Trek and Wars media I grew up with. TMP era Star Trek ship design is still my favourite, minus the Oberth/Grissom because open spaces inside ships is just dumb, and seeing more of the TMP setting in Debt of Honor was always something I enjoyed.
Also the bits with the whales were a nice feature in the story.
Would recommend Kirkman's current comic, Fire Power, for those looking to read something good. That site in the OP has the issues released so far and the prequel which obviously should be read first. I could never get into TWD, comic or show, but I have greatly enjoyed Kirkman's other stuff.
So what I'm hearing from this is that you get more time in prison protesting the current regime that's oh-so-desperate to claim it's 'legitimate', than you do murdering people.
Apparently to get the really big sentences you need to defraud the rich, like happened today with some crypto guy getting over 11'196 years as a sentence. To make matters even more absurd the prosecution was looking for almost 4 times that [40'562 years].
Because women hate each other. Many accusations of witchcraft came from other "witches" who were simply making petty claims against other women they disliked for any number of reasons. I actually have ancestors who were part of this where one women who was already named as a witch, and therefore going to be executed, just went balls to the walls at the end and took half a dozen other women with her by claiming they were also witches. This wasn't in the USA so no urgot poisoning as is thought to have been related to Salem.
Moreover, sickle cell anemia (SCA), a genetic condition that affects red blood cells, can affect anyone but black people are at a higher genetic risk for the disease, which has nothing to do with “structural racism” or any other sociological construct.
SCA lessens the morbidity of Malaria. That's why SCA is found in black populations more than white ones, because white populations don't live in areas with Malaria as much as black populations do. It serves as a survival tool, antithetical as that sounds.
"Slop" to me means very low quality food.
Pigs get fed "slop" because they can and will eat anything and don't give a fuck how horrible it might be.
If someone is eating something that gets likened to slop it's likely been so badly cooked it's turned into unidentifiable sludge that is still edible but you'd be hard pressed to know what ingredients were involved from the appearance, texture, taste, and smell.
they nerfed some of the fights too like the mud Melphits used to explode and do aoe damage to everyone in radius when dying.
Not surprising. My decades of playing games has taught me casuals/normies are utterly shit at noticing/reacting to things that aren't telegraphed days in advance, and even then some, so mechanics like "get out of the fire" and lethal death rattles are frequently changed because the player base is just too fucking stupid to move out the fucking way.
He never did it take the power upgrade from the Ring to the Fist of Conquest that everyone else did in that one episode.
Sure, it was pretty much given to them by Satan and they only stopped him from deposing Gaia because the Heartbreak kid sweet chin music's Satan in the face managed to resist the temptation of power while the other 4 were off literally making islands, volcanos, tsunamis, and tornadoes in a macro level, 4 way rock-paper-scissors game.
JFC I'm not a fan of the original NX design but those drawings are utter trash. They could have taken the ultra cheap route and simply traced over existing ships or models as it's something comics have done, blatantly, for years.
And what the fuck are those Romulans ships? They had warbirds at this point which were far more recognisable!
