Dr. James E. Olsson @GamerGateFTW: "I came to the conclusion that if I cannot find a single abuser while being an active member of the community for 2 whole years, then #Gamergate had no abusers." (twitter.com)

It's me, I'm the abuser. I killed John Flynt's dog. I'm also the leader of Gamergate.

Though I was more an observer at the time of GG, not really participating (I was going through the phase of fully removing the rose tinted glasses), I can safely say, you guys were the shittiest harassment campaign ever!

You didn't drive one person to suicide, physically attack anyone or swat people you didn't like when you knew they were streaming. 0/10 on harassment, a truly pathetic display!

(I am being very sarcastic in tone, it sometimes doesn't come off well online lol)

We didn't want to step on Zoe Quinn's toes.

"/s" is a good suffix to mark sarcasm.

ex:

Jeffrey Epstein totally killed himself /s

I use /s regularly because I'm a VERY sarcastic person, it helps to deal with the bs. I just wanted to explain that it was tone so you can imagine me eye rolling in a higher tone while saying it lol.

Imagine still playing the "respectability politics" game 9 fucking years later.

That's the same cuck mindset that killed KIA1 with its obsession with never, ever even remotely doing something that might upset someone. Better to rot in irrelevance and impotence than run the risk of looking bad.

We had bigger problems than "looking bad". There was an open FBI investigation into #Gamergate as a "harassment campaign" and they were using the full resources of American and British intelligence to search for any reason to arrest anybody who had ever used the hashtag. They seriously set Five Eyes, DHS, the Global Engagement Center, CENTCOM, and Britain's 77th Brigade against us and made up some shit about national security to justify it. So if anybody went Leeroy Jenkins and started harassing people, they would have been arrested and that would have justified using more resources to go after us.

The FBI investigation was opened before the #GamerGate hashtag. They were going after everybody who had ever criticized Sarkeesian back to when she first burst onto the scene as a professional idiot who could somehow get people banned from the entire Internet for disagreeing with her. 8chan dug into who this bitch is and she is a terrorist with Code Pink's Block the Boat which is rumored to be Iranian/Russian. The latest digs say Qatari.

Ethan Ralph was doxing people, that's pretty abusive.

There were of course some assholes in the movement who would be really mean on Twitter and a much smaller handful made death threats but nobody remembers their names. But the same was also true on the aGG side- it's just the reality of large numbers of people.

For prominent people, Milo & Crowder are the only other ones I can even think of who were even really brash and could be considered by normal people to be "offensive".

Yeah, saying strong things like "can't find a single one" just opens you up for easy wrongness by even a single obvious example. Especially when there are ones as memorable as the Ragepig, who only became the ZZZZ-list celeb they are today by getting promoted during GGs heyday.

It worked well. The narrative is still pretty common that we were all abusive harassers.

We just didn't get any of the benefits of being that. So we got the worst of both worlds.

It has told me that I'm going to do the time, so I may as well do the crime. The snowflakes will have to prepare their anuses for some real harassment.

Yeah, but people are open to that because of Trump and his media shit storm. Us being good boys didn't have half as much effect as what was lost by intentionally castrating ourselves to achieve it.
