It's so tiresome, seeing the mad people pointing at sanity and going "You are mad!"

Also, got a good chuckle from the Luca meme at the bottom. I still like that movie, even if it was the harbinger for Pixar leaning on a 3d beanmouth style.

One of my favorite E;R gags was him pointing out that Narnia is, at it's core, an Isekai story. Kids from the real world getting whisked away to a fantasy one where they become heroes. It just doesn't occur to us that that's what it is, because Narnia is more grounded and less blatantly tropey than what we expect from the genre.

I eagerly await them painting Jadis committing literal omnicide on her universe as a good thing. They'll probably make her sister she was warring with into her brother, too.

My cousin works for the TSA, and even though they still expect him to come into work, he hasn't been paid a cent during this shutdown.

I didn't think I could hate the government any more than I already did, but there ya go.

Eh... it's still kind of a ghoulish thing to do. I've no love lost, but that's all that needs to be said, really.

As a life-long Nintendo fan, GOOD. They need to be humbled after all the stunts they've been pulling.

It's the paradox of freedom. Cars gift us incredible amounts of freedom to swiftly move vast distances at will. Just so long as we stay on the roads and obey the traffic laws. Otherwise we end up stuck in the mud, or in horrible accidents that create blockages that impede everyone else.

Freedom comes with strings attached, but they're the strings of responsibility and reason.

It's noted in the Old Testament that the tribes that Israel spared, despite God explicitly telling them to wipe them out entirely, stuck around as subversive elements that led to Israel repeatedly falling into sin and getting conquered. Again, often by said remains of the tribes they were told to remove.

Mike had better chemistry with the bots, and I stand by that assessment. The brotherly ribbing was a lot more fun then the childish role they played against Joel.

It's so funny. I remember seeing Funkos of MST3K and thinking "Man, I'd love to have some cheap figures of Crow and Servo. But those Funkos are just so ugly...." And moving on with my day. I guess they bank on people just seeing brand and not having taste.

What does it say about me that I'm getting better at filtering those kinds of noises? Not that they don't bother me at all, but that I'm better at not letting them completely throw me like they used to.

That could quite possibly be the gayest thing I've ever heard.

So, the plan is to take insects known for spreading diseases. And infect them with a disease intended to prevent them from spreading diseases.

Did you not know that words are violence!?!!!?!???!

If they're not gonna denounce Hassan Poker, I'm not gonna denounce some random edgelords. And even then, the random edgelords have the likely excuse of just venting anonymously.

I look at people who complain about stories using tropes, and it strikes me as analogous to someone complaining that a house has a foundation and walls. Yeah, if that's all that's there, it's gonna be a pretty basic, bland structure. But at least it stands up without collapsing in on itself. Gripe about a lack of decor or a brutalist aesthetic all day, they probably could have done better to disguise the supports. But complaining that there's a solid, understandable, and practical construct just leads to the absolute nonsense we're saddled with these days.

It's funny. Despite being the "Girl's Brand" Disney used to be good at making things that guys could get behind. Aladdin, Gargoyles, Tarzan, Stitch (before they completely neutered him for marketing purposes.) Treasure Planet could have been a solid franchise if they hadn't actively sabotaged it.

It's like they just can't help but shoot themselves in the foot when appealing to guys is involved.

"But acksually! April was always Black and they whitewashed her for the cartoon! Only black women have curly hair! Women in the 80s definitely didn't have perms, and she wasn't based on the creator's girlfriend at the time who was a white woman with a perm!"

I begin to understand the hatred lefties feel towards "misinformation" spreaders.

People who outsource their thinking believe they should be exempt from the consequences of doing so. You'll have to imagine my surprise, because it doesn't exist.
