They're only bad if you're looking at games that pushed the envelope too hard and aimed for realism over stylization. All the best looking games of the past still look great, because they aimed to be appealing over being realistic.
And even then, why is everyone so hung up on graphics anyway? Shouldn't we care more about the games being fun to play, first and foremost?
I got my razors crossed.
Occam's Razor is a useful tool for interpersonal relationships, recognizing your friend is more likely to have been thoughtless rather than spiteful.
It is a terrible tool for judging the operation of impersonal organizations and their impact. When both malice and incompetence lead to destruction, they should be treated the same way.
As much as I love Rob's voice work, he's been a looney for years. Never meet your heroes....
Why play as Bowser?
Why play as Dr. Eggman?
Why play as Ganondorf?
It kills me that they made all these absurd changes to anime, but also made one of the more mature and violent Ninja Turtles series.
Rippee also noted the troubling normalization of such activities within the government, saying, “It’s just an accepted part of the bureaucracy. But the reality is, this is exploitation, and it has to stop.”
In what POSSIBLE universe could the trafficking of children be considered an "accepted part of the bureaucracy?"
One of my favorite GPrime comics is of the little boy asking his mom about his siblings, her telling him he's her one and only, and him correcting her, because he talks with them, and they want to know why she didn't want them.
So, considering the blatant cheating, an actual landslide
The game that went out of its way to emasculate Peter and make Mary Jane ugly and overpowered didn't do well? Imagine my surprise!
"You won't question the history books if we pre-emptively make it ILLEGAL to question them!"
Boy, if there was ever proof that the Left's grasp of human nature is completely inverted....
I liked Spark 3. I felt like it was a solid evolution of what Sega gave up on trying to do with the Adventure games.
When they got rid of Amy's crush on Sonic, they got rid of her entire reason for being. It was a genuinely funny bit for Sonic to be this smug badass who takes on robot armies with a grin, but completely loses his composure when confronted with a demented fangirl who won't take no for an answer.
But now she's not allowed to be an obnoxious cling-on. She's not allowed to be a passionate and driven fan who pushes herself beyond her limits to impress her hero. She's not even allowed to have a passing romantic interest in said hero. She's just girl Sonic. With a hammer and tarot cards for some reason. It's just depressing.
Man. Shame you never played Sonic 2, or 3 &Knuckles.
Are the Russians in the room with us now?
I saw something recently about troglodytes getting mad that someone drew Marina with slightly lighter skin, and the artist was not having it. Did something change?
Really, Marina being an octopus (And former enemy combatant.) in a squid city was her true minority status. Skin color kind of pales, pun not intended, compared to "I used to help build superweapons to steal your power supply. Sorry about that."
This leak is pertaining to the games of that era, so....
It does subversion well. It sets up common tropes that you'd expect to see in a fairy tale and turns them on their head in clever and satisfying ways. As opposed to the common: "You're stupid and bad for expecting reasonable and understandable returns for our setups!"
People need to make their own movies.
Fair enough. I do want to keep it, since I love the idea of a giant, hard-light, robot bird becoming a fast travel option if you choose to befriend it instead of destroying it. And I like exploring the idea of giving an intelligent machine further purpose after its duty is done instead of tossing it aside.
I just absolutely LOATHE the idea of the usual suspects going "Robots support trans rights!" with my ideas. As though an intelligent machine being rebuilt for a new task is remotely comparable to a human being mutilating themselves.
I've had an idea about a game's story with an insane, AI (one of several,) that has gone off the rails and is convinced it's a bird locked up in a cage, instead of a machine built into a structure. The main characters need to either destroy or pacify it in order to progress. Since the AIs job is done and it has no further purpose, I wanted the option to give it the ability to escape and fly freely instead of destroying it to be the good ending. But now I'm worried that would be encouraging mental illness....
I've never been a huge weeb, so my frame of reference for OPs is rather lacking.
That being said, I really enjoy Nichijou's opening. it's got the kind of strong melody and beat I like to listen to, and it captures the mundane/surreal insanity of the show really well.
They have to completely YTP Trump interviews like he's Homer Simpson. The projection is real.
SnooPING AS usual, I see.
"You all saw it. Wolf got 'em."
