All of the bots in that thread are literally shaking right now!
Well, I hope whoever is looking forward to this gets a game they enjoy. Every preview I see reinforces that I'm not their target audience. I did enjoy the first, for what it was, but I've spent less and less time with each subsequent sequel.
I know none of ya'll personally but I do genuinely hope, whatever happens next November in the US, you're taking precautions to keep your families safe and prepared.
Happy Anniversary.
"His unique and mysterious life made him an ideal candidate to tell an Assassin's Creed story with the setting of Feudal Japan as a backdrop."
Ideal candidate? Perhaps it is for those looking to score ESG points/funds. Not so much for those looking to play as, get this, someone native to the actual setting.
I'm glad they're getting push back on this.
Despite not really playing it before, I really enjoy Trackmania streams/YT videos. Recently there was a big community challenge event based around a difficult tower map, called Deep Dip 2. While I could never dream of finishing that map, it did finally get me to jump into the game and start playing with some regularity.
Hey hey, people... I really wish I could get into Starsector more. I've played the first 2-4 hours of a playthru probably about 4 times over the years. It's just never stuck.
I'm happy that you've found a game that resonates with you. That's awesome.
Yeah, I enjoyed the sandbox-y nature of just getting set loose on an island with an assortment of tools all geared toward doing as much destruction as possible.
I couldn't tell you a single detail from the story, but I do remember the grappling hook + parachute combo that was fun to zip around with.
This wannabe yasuke also goes on to say, "He’s a former Marine...that doesn’t mean you get to come back into the country and attack random people in the country for no reason,”
What he calls "random people" and "for no reason", in reality, we refer to them as "someone acting erratic, aggressive, and violent towards others in a public setting."
But never let the truth get in the way of a potential racial epitaph in the hopes of preferential treatment and handouts.
Just a personal opinion but I didn't find it all that fun after a few hours. Then again, seeing how I felt the same "meh-ness" with the first one and Mordhau, I'm fully willing to admit this isn't my genre.
It wasn't all that fun solo and the battlefield was always too chaotic to try and coordinate when playing with friends.
For me, all 3 suffered the same feeling of being games built for YT shorts/TT clips and not something meant to be a long-term staple in a gaming rotation.
Just another yasuke incident.
Despite the game having what looks like a fun (albeit shallow) gameplay loop, almost every bit of "outside the game" news I've heard just helps reinforce my decision not to support it. Between their decisions to include an invasive, yet toothless, anti-cheat... their, putting it nicely, outspoken community manager... and now the choice to begin enforcing PSN accounts... I think I'm fine letting this fade away into obscurity while I continue to try and chip away at a backlog of other games.
Meanwhile, Worf got to bang K'Ehleyr, Troi, Jadzia, and Ezri (briefly). Ha.
I believe the voice line was only removed for the DRG-licensed auto-shooter survivor game, which is being developed by a completely different studio than DRG proper. Funday Games makes the survivor game while Ghost Ship Games makes the coop mining game.
That line still exists in the original game, as far as I'm aware.
I binged it over the holiday weekend and enjoyed it. I hadn't read (or even heard of) the books, so I can't comment on any changes made. I might pick them up later based on people's rec.
As far as the show goes, it had a few slow moments, but overall I enjoyed how focused and uncompromising the revenge plot went. I thought Pratt did well given the subject matter isn't his typical quirky, fun roles.
For all the talk of love and inclusion that get parroted on every episodes of CR, the loudest, most "hardcore" of their fans have always been some of the most toxic people I've seen. Which isn't surprising considering they're made up of mentally unstable alphabet people.
Bluntly, the cast has capitulated to their insanity, so many times, that it sadly doesn't surprise me to see them adopting their world view.

The explanation given was to "help vision-impaired people distinguish between speakers."
Because expecting the visually impaired to have the ability to distinguish between multiple distinct voices with different tones, inflections, and accents is apparently ablelist or so other made up trauma.
Synthetik and Starsector mentioned in the same comment...
Hey, hey, people...
This made me do a spit-take laugh and I wasn't even drinking anything. Thank you.
