So you agree that the cheaper prices indies usually charge should be considered as part of the review?

When used to convey whether or not it's worth the money: yes.

Insofar as "wow bonus points for shoestring budget": absolutely not.

So is the central thesis of the video that reviews are unreliable and easily manipulated?

Wrong again. The takeaway is that indie games have a huge dick-riding problem that is unique to them. With triple-A games it's the journalists who focus on meaningless things like dev team diversity and LGBetc characters when writing reviews...with indie games it's the players themselves.

That kind of meta analysis should be saved for forums and video essays. It does not belong in Steam reviews, where people are trying to figure out if the game is worth their time and money. The conditions under which the game was developed has zero impact on that.

95% of everything is garbage. I don't think this is any sort of grand revelation.

You missed the point entirely. It's not that lots of indie games are trash...the problem is that they are reviewed with way to much leniency (because being a cool gamer these days means cutting indie games miles of slack for some reason). Thus these trash indie games end up with scores that are much higher than they deserve, i.e. overrated.

It's literally the title. And he brought receipts too. Some of that shit really is rated "Overwhelmingly positive".

Well I can play "be reductive and retarded" too, watch:

Putting your hand in a doorway doesn't automatically break it. What are you even talking about? Did we watch the same video? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

For the longest time I assumed this was just fake

If you think about it in terms of simple game theory i.e. strategic decision-making among rational agents, not only is it not fake, but it's quite obviously the ONLY possible outcome.

I'm super tired of adult faggots who cling to the tired ideas of "democracy" and/or "constitutional republic". Power does not and cannot work that way. A fake two-party system being run from the shadows is literally the most stable way to run a country. That's not a conspiracy, it's just a plain-as-day fact. Any one of you reading this right now, if you were put into that position and sincerely believe that you're the best man for the job...why in the fuck would you willingly cede power to someone else?

Imagine if the reds and blues were actual adversaries, actually fighting to undo each other's progress every four years because they actually hate and disagree with each other. You'd get nowhere as a country; it'd be a gigantic clusterfuck. The winning strategy is to have a fake political theatre for the masses to argue over, while the titans of industry rule in perpetuity from the background.

Idk wtf she was thinking trying to deflect off of Epstein with this topic specifically. The stock market health. Is she implying that pursuing justice to the fullest extent that the law demands will negatively impact the Dow & Nasdaq? So like LITERALLY tacitly admitting that the movers and shakers of the stock market were partaking in the jerky ceremonies?

This timeline never fails to surprise.

is not a particularly compelling or plausible narrative to me

This mentality is why they can get away with dragging their feet for SIX SEVEN FUCKING YEARS, and not arrest anyone, and blatantly withhold documents, and use redactions as political cover. Because people feel it's "implausible" in spite of all the other fuckery they've witnessed.
