They mention it in passing, like it has nothing to do with anything. Just a 'statistical anomaly' or something. 2M in 2 years...
It's 5M in 5 years, Canada went from 37M to 42M with absolutely ZERO increase in housing, jobs or infrastructure to accommodate an jump of over 11%. At the same time Ottawa raised taxes across the board while handing out Billions to huge international companies.
Oh, on top of all that? Companies get $$$ for free if they hire "recent immigrants". Nothing for hiring natural-born Canadians though.
I grew up doing residential home construction and, back in the 90s, construction was done almost exclusively by immigrants. The catch? They were all White (especially from eastern and southern Europe).
They still hired all their own people, usually family, but they started their own businesses and worked their asses off.
Today, every brownoid I know working in trades is only doing so through government training programs; they need their hands held every step of the way and that's how the government likes it.
Natural births > White immigration >> brownoid immigration
It could be the decade of Justin Trudeau from 2015 to 2025 where everything hyper accelerated into the toilet. Carney is making it go even faster, too. So there's that.
And it feels like no one I talk to out there cares.
I feel like the dude from the movie The Network every time politics comes up and when I point out the horrible mess we're in, all I get time and time again is the good old "Yep, but what are ya gonna do." And then they move on like it's impossible to change. It feels like that scene from The Network "You've got to get mad. You've got to say I'm a human being god damnit. My live has value! I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!"
At the local level, Huntsville deployed a similar approach. When Mayor Battle won his first election, in 2008, “we had great entry-level jobs. Hospitality, landscaping, etc.,”
Literally bragging that they import infinity shitskins.
Ah yes… poorer than Alabama but somehow, we can still afford basic food like eggs. It’s amazing when you don’t prosecute truckers and not tax the middle class out of buying necessities that you don’t need as much money to live.

Yes, but also so many other things...
It is a mystery. It's definitely not a circus lead by a Carney.
The same puppet masters who pulled Trudeau's strings are still in "the backroom" pulling Carney's strings. Exact same people, it's just Trudeau 2.0.
