Hallmark was being attacked because their target demographic was conservative straight white women. You could literally write every movie they have ever made by making a mad lib. So they are now bowing into pressure and they are going to lose their target demographic.

As what’s already been mentioned in this thread, us bragging about this brings the similarities closer to pre WW2 and less Cold War proxy war.

I know. The major difference here is what kind of relation does America have with Ukraine vs the UK. Most Americans share a common ancestry tying them to the UK. Major Ukrainian connection is corrupt politicians make shady businesses deals there.

Like we knew they were doing it, they knew we knew they were doing it. But they would have never admitted it. We did this same stuff in WW2 we bragged about arming one side. And I’m glad we did arm that side. But we don’t need to telegraph what we are doing. It’s like giving to charity and then bragging about giving to charity. You didn’t give to help that cause. You gave to get yourself attention. And that’s not a good reason to give to charity.

Im really not interested in WW3 for an area of land that 95% of Americans couldn’t spot on a map prior to the invasion, and only 15% could post invasion. I feel bad for the Ukrainian people. I feel bad for the Russian people. This is a pointless war. But we should not be involved. And if we have to get involved could we not broadcast it to the Russians. Do they have to broadcast we are shipping them more ammo, missiles, and medical supplies.

I too avoided it for a while for the stigma and seeing the people who were the major fans in high school and college. You could see they repelled all women from a mile away, they were incredibly loud, and just kind of annoyed everyone around the public space they were occupying. There’s a couple of things I’ll watch/read, but I don’t really need to discuss that with anyone. At most it would be if the cashier at the store commented on it. I stick to older stuff too.

Most people who worked on the games you loved are probably working elsewhere now. Best case now is to study the games you loved by them and take what works and make your own.

They get in through diversity efforts lead by hr or some other corporate mandate. You then have difficulty firing them because no matter how incompetent they are, they will claim discrimination when fired and brings up a lawsuit. No company wants that. Then when it’s time to recruit they suggest their friends who are also no talent wastes of space, but meet those same HR checkboxes thus putting their resume on top of the stack. The company has to look at them because again if they don’t they will claim discrimination and their friend in studio will back their friend if they can make an example of a big name studio and get some money out of it. It’s like a brain infection. Once the infection is in, it’s very difficult to remove it. And it’s hard to convince an infection to leave on their own.

My issue is trying to find denim made out of cotton and not a blend of polyester or some other stretchy material. Can’t find a brand with the right cut that is actually denim.
