Outside of Nintendo first party games everything else on switch is on ps4/5 or xb1/seriesx…… and in my experience if a speed runner has a female name they are practically guaranteed to be a dude. And they will try to find something no one else is speed running just so they can get a top spot with 0 work involved.
I mean just look at the ones in the games industry for scifi games….. so way out in the future there is not a just make me what I want to be pill….. or the more likely and less harmful make me happy the way I was born pill?
ArtStation had plenty of artist complaining that do not draw anime girls. Not sure of their politics, majority of artist may be left leaning but at one point there was stuff that the left and right had overlap on. And it’s perfectly reasonable for anyone not to be cool with someone scraping millions of portfolios and using your work to train ai without your permission or compensation. Especially when people make an account call themselves a “prompt artist” and start mucking up the feed reducing visibility of actual art portfolios. A frequent prompt used is “Trending on ArtStation” past couple of days that prompt would get you a result of an image covered in anti ai images.
My point is are the automobile deaths less than deaths from the previous mode of transportation. should probably add what is very likely an increase in saved lives from emergency services like firemen and ambulances compared to the previous mode of being pulled by wagons. Which means people do not put up with 10000 automobile deaths a year compared to the likely vastly outnumbered saved lives from the previous mode of transportation.
You honestly think the government is going to be cool with autonomous vehicles riding around with no driver at the wheel in case of an emergency?
How many people died falling off of horses or being kicked in the head by horses prior to the automobile a year? And percentage wise how similar is that number to the overall population that the 10000 automobiles deaths make up?
Or they just need their phone to do basic smart phone stuff. I’ve gone back and forth between iOS and Android and have never wanted or needed something I’d need to side load. And for the majority of users that’s the same. The only thing I could see that would need to be side loaded would be an emulator. But I do not use my phone to play games. My purchasing decision usually comes down to battery life, camera, quality, and availability/ deal with my cell service.
The people who freak out over which phone you use are irritating. I’ve used both and have been harassed by both sides. I don’t care what color the speech bubble in text shows up as, and I don’t care about something that I never used on android that’s not on ios and vice versa.
It’s not fair use though you can’t take someone’s artwork, integrate it into your software regardless if it faces the end user or not, and then use it for profit. It’s no different than putting a pop song in your YouTube video. Sure the end product may be the video, but you don’t have a right to use the song without permission, which is usually granted in exchange for a sum of money and a very strict contract being signed.
Part of their argument that does hold up that it is theft is that those who are feeding the AI with data to pull from are not paying for the rights to their art to be used commercially. Which many of these ai companies are now valued ridiculously high by taking data that may not be open sourced. Just because an artist posts a picture on the internet does not mean anyone can legally make prints of it and sell it, or use it in their software without first purchasing the rights to it.
I had a teacher in school that would always point to the kings and queens of Nubian descent and claim all of Egypt was black…. They would get so angry when you point out the numerous depictions of just tan kings and queens and average Egyptians that far out number the darker ones.
