What I mean is that the doctor straight up lied. That should be an automatic malpractice lawsuit.

He's honestly one of my favorite authors. Some of his stuff is very verbose but it's almost always entertaining.

Honestly one of the worst parts of this is the doctor flat out lying to him and saying he wouldn't look like the picture. That should be a straightforward malpractice lawsuit.

Does Michael Crichton count as sci-fi? If so, I'd say Sphere.

The BLM one where the background is on fire...I actually laughed out loud.

At least the standard rainbow pride flag is fairly simple and easily recognizable, that shit looks like something a 2nd grader made in MS Paint.

I was really on the fence about whether I would support Trump or DeSantis. Between this and Trump's comments regarding six-week abortion bans being "too strict", I really think he's out for me. Not saying DeSantis is perfect or something, as he's said some shit I don't agree with, but Trump's really gone off the rails as of late.

Whether you prefer Trump over DeSantis or DeSantis over Trump, saying you prefer Biden over either is outright idiocy...for that matter, I'd prefer a used tampon over Biden.

Well maybe if the media hadn't spent the last few years telling everyone how dangerous and horrible it was to venture outside...

That's the folly of youth, thinking that your elders are overreacting and out of touch. Only when we find ourselves in the role of "elder" do we realize how right they were.

Forces her daughters into servitude, torments an entire town with her bullshit, wants "mommy's" approval, thrives on the life force of others...yeah it checks out.

Imagine remembering your friends after they've passed through their fucking Twitter account.

Hell, even modern Lara Croft is a better example of a strong female character than Ellie.

Regardless of legitimacy, losing in 2020 really fucked up Trump's ego.

Eh, this one's a bit of a nothing burger. Pot should be legalized anyway. Thought that for years, even after quitting it. No worse than alcohol.

Well there's "swearing", but it's bleeped out for comedic effect, and it got an honest chuckle from me when I watched it. There are a few scenes that are rather intense for a kids movie, but nothing super edgy or really out of place.

I feel like it's "current day" in terms of style and maybe a bit of the humor, but not really in terms of themes or messaging.

I saw it described as "Logan for kids" and the more I think about it, the more I think that's a great description. Not much in the way of wokeness from what I remember. My kids enjoyed it, as did my wife and I. Any "girl boss" stuff is kept to a minimum and, honestly, is kind of portrayed as negative. I'd recommend it.

Maybe, but it's obvious we've only seen two or three parts of the movie from the trailers (Mario coming to the Mushroom Kingdom, the Rainbow Road chase sequence, and Luigi's interrogation/capture) so who knows how the movie will actually turn out? I'm waiting for spoilers before I determine whether I'm going to take my kids to see it.
