Marty: "this is legendary composer Sierra 117, can anybody hear me?"

"Isolate that signal! Mr O'Donnell, do you mind telling me what you're doing in the United States Congress?"

Marty: "Sir..."

the ruling is not surprising, what is surprising is that it was a unanimous ruling. I never would have expected in a billion years that Sotomayor would have ruled in favor of Trump.

the hilarious thing is that victim first characters are not even necessarily bad writing. but when it becomes the only thing that the industry can write, it becomes extremely stale.

I feel like the reason anime has good female characters is because they are characters first, who just so happened to be female.

Once upon a time, Hollywood wrote characters like this too. Nowadays, if a character is female, their female-ness has to be their defining trait. they can't just be a badass secret agent, they have to be a badass WOMAN secret agent, and the audience has to be reminded of that every 3 seconds.

it's a really good chill show. whether or not it's the best show is a matter of taste, but it has a clear goal of being chill and relaxing while simultaneously being adventurous, and executes on that phenomenally.

it's probably bullshit, but it's also probably not too surprising when you consider that the definition of "gender" these kids are being taught is completely different from everything that we learned growing up.

Once, sex and gender were the same. Now, they are taught gender is basically nothing more then a style that can be changed like a shirt. Many are even taught that changing gender is even a moral good, and is something that will get you infinite praise by adults. Paradoxically, they're even taught that gender doesn't matter, but if they do not conform to their gender they must be transgender. kids are being taught about gender roles, homosexuality, and transgenderism before they even learn about where babies come from. heck, they'll be lucky if they even learn the difference between male and female.

get your kids out of public schools.

I support boycotting Israel because they are the only country that I know that has successfully made it illegal to not buy their products in other countries.

Just beat them to the punch. Make posts about sweet baby ink can be explicitly candid about what it is they do, then attach #BabyGate to it.

a wolf dressed as Little Red Riding Hood comes along

holy absolute fuck! by Grimm fairy tales logic, this is incredibly disturbing. The wolf is always the predator, so a wolf dressed as Little Red Riding Hood is easily a metaphor for a pedophile groomer.

the only reason mainstream outlets are allowed to print negative things about Gemini is because it tarnished a bad Target. as exemplified in OP, people of color can't be Nazis and the fact that it would suggest that there were is an afront to THE MESSAGE.

had the AI model trainers been smarter and prevented it from generating diversity when creating depictions of the good targets, the press would be singing Gemini's praises.

Would you want a wife who thinks it's fun to dance to a slutty song for clout?

no, which is why I literally don't care. if I didn't already have a girlfriend, I would even say they've done me a favor: by being a thot in public and posting it on the internet, they have demonstrated to me that they're not the kind of person I'm interested in, so I would know to avoid them romantically.

Thots gonna thot. I do not concern myself with thots.

while I'm glad to see it all crash and burn, they already know with the next generation of propaganda looks like. everyone finds their own news and sources by looking things up on the internet, and it makes them think that they've come up to their conclusions on their own. they think themselves enlightened because they read and judge their knowledge for themselves, instead of being told by some fancy person in a fancy suit on a fancy TV screen.

The future of propaganda is simply in censorship, shadowbanning, and search engine optimization. And it will be more effective than the news ever was.

definitely not my cup of tea, but who's to judge. Someone finds this attractive, so it's their problem not mine.

the US had it made at one point. Most of our cities were clean, murder rates were low, drug use was highly stigmatized and therefore underground, our productivity was high, and so was the quality of our exports.

of course, it's not like that now, but it does show that it can be done withoutsacrificing the rights of the individual.

similar to "make America great again", it's an attempt to make a statement where the audience can fill in the blanks.

the only difference is, maga was actually good, and this is just cringe.

the most disappointing thing about 2023, gamingwise, was the fact that there was not a single game I picked up that was worth remembering.

it's quite simple really: in canada, if an individual speaks out against the government, they are no longer a person.

I totally agree I wouldn't really last living in Japan, and if I visited I would definitely be relying on their kindness and forgiveness. all that being said, I would not ask them to change a thing. From everything I've watched and read, their society is extremely clean and safe.

On a personal level, I think their weapons laws are extreme (historical fencing with steel trainers is more illegal there than owning a machine gun is in the US), their work culture is oppressive, their seniority system elevates people who don't deserve it while belittling people who do, and their complete allergy to rudeness is even more insulting than if they would just speak their mind. But this is all coming from a person who lives in an individualistic society were the murder rate is much higher, drug use is out of control, the streets are filled with litter, walking around at night is begging for a mugging, productivity and ingenuity are being outsourced to foreign countries, and degenerate lifestyles are considered a moral good amongst a significant portion of the population.

While I have a few theories, I don't know exactly what it is that they do that makes their society so much cleaner than ours, but whatever they're doing it's working.

Japan shouldn't change a thing.
