I was honestly surprised how well episode 1 was, like the manga to screen and the ONLY way how to do Junji Ito justice. Supposedly they changed directors and made it cheaper. We waited years for it because they didn't even work all those years on it. We'll probably never know the full story but to me it sounded like they HAD to finish it finally and then just said fuck it, just throw it out there even if it looks like shit... Honestly a shame since Uzumaki is such a great one, I highly recommend everyone to at least check the manga out.

Unironically Japanese hip hop you can occasionally hear in some anime openings are non-offensive and actually listenable. Especially something like the recent anime Dan da dan has an amazing opening and is hip hop. I don't like 99% of the genre but these are the exceptions.

Twilight made it very mainstream. IMHO the sexy part is fine if the monster part is still present. They're supposed to be alluring to prey on people. Twilight forgot all the downsides of vampires and more glorified it. I don't even get it, make it holy symbols wielded or placed by people with faith, doesn't have to be Christian. In some lore like VTM they have people with true faith for example that do damage to vampire by their faith, doesn't mention it has to be Christianity (though it makes the most sense what with vampire lore originating in Christian countries).
