No Shakespeare speech, general language is the same... Ish. But mentions of religion or alcohol at the time got changed since Nintendo of America did not like to have those mentioned to kids. Chrono Trigger is still similar in the Japanese with just some changes. Language in general is different from English so obvouisly there's differences too numerous to mention. My main issue is the Nintendo of America changes for me, I find those odd.

I'd want everything to stay the same but the story. I played a bit into it with the Japanese version(my Japanese is still not up to snuff but getting there) and quite a bit is different. Knowing the state of translations today it would turn out like shit. I don't even mind frog sounding like he ate a book on Shakespeare, I just want some of them Nintendo of America censorship out like what was in the SNES version. Other than that literally don't change anythin, even though I have my minor gripes with the SNES version I still think it is one of the best games out there.

I didn't play most games on PC at the time, was too young to own a good pc. First good PC game was Morrowind way after the game got released(think all the expansions were out too at the time). I playedmmore N64 and PS1 growing up, Bajoo Kazooie, Mario 64, FF9, Tomb Raider etc.

That's why I am trying to school up on the older ones on PC in the not too distant future. I did play some classics already but not nearly enough. I was there for Mass Effect and Kotor though.

Probably the best anime right now, and that is saying something. I've talked to a friend about it: feels like we are in an anime golden age right now. A lot of the niche manga get adaptions, a lot of the bangers get them also and they're even better than the manga(see frieren making a one panel into a whole scene) and we keep getting them season after season. I've seen more anime now than I have years ago when I started.

I really need to play 1 and 2. I enjoyed 3 and it kindled my interest in those types of RPGs which instantly made me play and finish Pathfinder. After I took a break of the genre again and now feel the itch again. Will have to check out 1 and 2.

The gayness of 3 is exaggerated by some people. It's there, and the most annoying character(you'll instantly know when you meet him) is just that because of his voice. I hope someone makes an AI cover to fix that, someone already did with the narrator. BG3 is def. Good and worth playing imho but that is coming from someone who hasn't played the old ones. My opinion might change after having tried those.
