Takes one season to depart from the books entirely

Could Amazon be any more obvious about wearing Wheel of Time like a skin suit?

One of the suggestions from a Twitter rando was to buy another small slice of Twitter each time Twitter execs defy him.

... are they also not walking headlong into the whole white replacement thing?

I mean, if you're of the opinion that the EU and other globalist organisations are implicitly intent on replacing fussy European populations - with their insistence on civil rights - with a more tractable population from areas of the world where protests are resolved with tanks and beheadings, this isn't exactly going to change your mind, is it?

I suppose he must have decided that he can already communicate his requirements to his new employees, albeit in a very public fashion that they are sure to find humiliating, and giving himself the option of purchasing more and more of one of the Left's sacred cows if they resist must also irk them considerably. He's got the money to back it up too, so everybody knows it's a credible threat.

Yeah, I can see a lot of lefties creatively redefining the terminology to capture as many kids as possible under "already transitioning" so they can still carve up as many children as possible.

Thanks for the link

Yeah, as with the Florida bill, there's no language there that most parents would object to - so lefties, it seems, are content to just lie about the contents of the bill. The thing's only 11 pages, as well, something I approve of - these aren't difficult concepts, so hundreds of pages of waffle for this would only be an attempt to exclude the populace at large from the law they are subjected to.

I'd think the bits that they're actually upset about are:

  • "to prohibit the performance of a medical procedure or the prescription of medication, upon or to a minor child, that is intended to alter the minor child's gender or delay puberty;" (Note - nothing here at all about forcible de-transitioning)
  • "The sex of a person is the biological state of being female or male, based on sex organs, chromosomes, and endogenous hormone profiles, and is genetically encoded into a person at the moment of conception, and it cannot be changed."
  • "numerous studies have shown that a substantial majority of children who experience discordance between their sex and identity will outgrow the discordance once they go through puberty and will eventually have an identity that aligns with their sex."
  • And perhaps the one they'd be most concerned about - "No nurse, counselor, teacher, principal, or other administrative official at a public or private school attended by a minor shall do either of the following: (1) Encourage or coerce a minor to withhold from the minor's parent or legal guardian the fact that the minor's perception of his or her gender or sex is inconsistent with the minor's sex; (2) Withhold from a minor's parent or legal guardian information related to a minor's perception that his or her gender or sex is inconsistent with his or her sex."

That last one, if enforced, would render the lives of dedicated groomers substantially more risky.

Alabama passes SB184 which forcibly medically detransitions all trans teens

I'm calling bullshit. Anybody have any knowledge of the bill to confirm?

I'm guessing SB184 prevent transitions going ahead, but if you are the right kind of lunatic you would paint that as this

To them, their ends justify any means.

Yes, exactly. Their ideology specifies such a utopian ending that any evils they need to commit now are justified by the Glorious Future that they are ushering in.

I'm not sure of any way you could think like this and not become an utterly immoral person.

If you're of this ideology and you realise that you can hurry things along by kicking puppies, then you've got two options:

  • Go and kick as many puppies as you can find - because this results in the Glorious Future, it's perfectly acceptable
  • Don't kick puppies. Your moment of squeamishness here delays the Glorious Future and that is - if you're a fully-paid-up cult member - significantly worse than any amount of puppy-kicking you might have done.

That's why these people are awful people.

Acted like proof that America was a deeply racist country

"Look, look at all of these black people rioting, pillaging, looting and murdering without a single consequence - see how racist the US is!"?

9
APDSmith 9 points ago +9 / -0

because I've always "acted white" from a young age

Honest question: what does your cousin actually want for you here?

"Acting white" generally means a decent job, decent prospects, solid home life, etc, etc.

Is your cousin upset because you didn't live an "authentic black experience" and die due to gang violence at the age of 12?

I find this very curious. The British black experience - what I've seen of it from the outside - is very different from the US black experience, even if that fact upsets UK BLM quite a bit.

. Can someone please explain what queer means in this context?

I'm special, pay attention to me!

APDSmith 9 points ago +9 / -0

If the only way you can stop yourself from being racist is to redefine racism so that your own brand of racism technically doesn't count any more, you might just have a racism problem...

Do the banking cartels take a major tumble when the US dollar goes bust?

No. That was decided in 2008 when in response to a shamefully poor performance on the part of the big banks, they were rewarded for this with taxpayer money rather than being broken into smaller banks that could be permitted to collapse.

That was the moment when it was decided that the US government would sacrifice the livelihoods of the population to prop up the banks.

Part of the issue with F1, at least since before I was born, has been the focus on aerodynamics. It produces fantastically high-performing cars ... that lose great big chunks of that performance the moment they get close enough to the car in front to even think about overtaking.

I used to find races like BTCC far more interesting, as those can actually do stuff like drafting - or WRC, as you've said, which normally has interesting stuff happening. F1 is largely watching a series of concurrent time trials, with the winner decided by who utilises the pit-stop gap to craft a punishing lead the others cannot claw back while they themselves are in the pits.

Isn't one of the proposed reasons Covid happened something about a mutation of an existing animal disease ... ?

He just doesn't get what Trudeau's doing - he's pioneering the world's first semi-legal system, under which the law is used to oppress disfavoured groups - until it's not enough, so the law is suspended for long enough to go break some heads - but not enough to get into trouble - and then reasserted again.

Who knows the next time Castreau will need to turn Canada into a 72-hour-dictatorship?
