They are likely contracted for a severance package, though, so Musk's options are:

  • Pay up
  • Break the law
  • Try and get them on gross misconduct somehow

Unfortunately, I don't have the quote handy, but yes, Lenin was quite blunt about his aims and methods. The "dictatorship of the proletariat" is another thing he was quite in favour of, iirc.

Just another "When somebody tells you what they are, believe them" one, I think.

It's not politics, it's human rights!

The usual feminist talking point - whatever it is, the feminist isn't responsible for it, even if they advocated for it, chose it, did it and then bullied others in to doing it.

This woman's career is a social club, not a workplace. She's just managed to luck out and get paid to run her social life.

OK, reading this, does anybody get the impression that this person is desperately, frantically, in need of attention?

See, I want to say based, but honestly, this is what happens when you commit to fucking up and then - at the last possible moment - pull back from the brink and have to roll with something half-assed. Coal's better than nothing - which is what they would have with this green bollocks - but not something you'd choose if you had another viable option.

I am honestly a little surprised that it's not the other way around by this point...

Yeah, but that's their fascists, so it's different.

You know, I read this, and I think of the face Stair Muffin makes when she sees the rancid chicken. That is the face this one makes when she thinks of free speech.

Weird, isn't it, that the areas that attempt to go full socialism - such as Berlin in the 1920s - always have as a solution to the complete degeneration of society that results of "more socialism"?

Yup, they're also fixating on the wrong word. My problem with this little effort is the word "force" - but lefties are generally actually fine with that - provided they're the ones doing the forcing.

Lefties fixate on "religion", because Social Justice is a jealous god. They cannot abide the idea that there may be higher commandments than the social rules they seek to impose, and they really dislike the idea that those rules might be written down, because to a SJW, rules are malleable things, intended to be sword and shield depending upon the relative social statuses of the people wielding them.

And that it truly does not matter who you vote for - the us civil service will very obviously just be using this man to take the blame for whatever it is they were going to do anyway.

OK, for starters, as a Brit I'm merely aghast at US federal spending rather than being directly affected by it; for seconds, what makes you think my antipathy is restricted to the matter of Ukraine?

Your own biases, and only these, have lead you to this conclusion about me. They are in error.

OK, firstly, lobbing munitions at a naval base is not the same thing as retaking it from the invaders. One's liable to draw a rather more considerable response than the other, especially with how uncertain things are regarding Russian leadership at the moment.

Also, Russia is losing to a Ukraine that's being gifted vast quantities of munitions and training, courtesy of your taxes and mine. Ukraine might well be the poorest country in Europe; her army enjoys access to very expensive toys.

Lastly, you're right, I don't care what Ukraine wants. I care about being made to pay for it, whether I want to or not. Or, more realistically, I care because my children will end up paying for this.

That's pretty much why I asked that question. Unending war, for the sole purpose of propping up Raytheon, is a tough sell, electorally.
