Elon calling Kasparov an idiot isn't come impressive comeback. Elon is an admitted autist [we've all known for a long time] and himself a massive idiot, as he has recently demonstrated by pissing everyone off with his unwanted, megalomanical, and idiotic attempts to dictate terms to Ukraine and Taiwan.
At least with Taiwan, there was a profit motive to Elon Musk sucking Xi Jinping's dick: the Chinese communist party rewarded Musk's Taiwan comments by giving him tax breaks on Teslas in China. The fact that Elon Musk has put about 25% of Tesla's global production in China now, means that he is basically a pawn of the CCP. If Musk owns Twitter, what will he say when the CCP demands he censor on their behalf? That will put him in an interesting position. The thing about the CCP is, you can suck their dicks 100 times and say "no" to them once, and you're dead to them. Just ask Disney.
However, with Ukraine, he was just stroking himself off and basically saying that Ukraine ought to give Russia favorable terms, which was tantamount to siding with Russia now that Ukraine is clearly winning the war and Russia has been on the back foot for months. The war is not stalemated at present, so there is no incentive for Ukraine to stop winning.
Kasparov is Russian, but as a long-time opponent of the Putin regime I see why you would have such a problem with him. Funny how you always say you have a problem with globohomo, but in practice you actually have a problem with any and all enemies of the Putin regime.
And Kasparov is right: it isn't Elon Musk's place to tell Ukraine's government and people how it ought to fight a war or on what terms to settle. Hell, it isn't the place of the United States Government to do so.
Russia is desperate and admitting that it is losing the war. We know this because it is making dirty bomb threats and purposely trying to target civilian utilities in order to maximize the misery and hardship of the civilian population in Ukraine by only recently making hitting things like power plants and other civilian infrastructure a priority. This is reminiscent of Hitler's Baedeker Blitz: angry retaliation by the losing side. Not a surprise that Putin is emulating Hitler's failures. And so, too, will Russia's attempt to terrorize the civilian population of Ukraine fail and backfire.
Lmaooooooooo
umm, yes?
See those blue areas? All land Ukraine has taken back recently.
See any land Russia took recently? No? Hmmmmmmmm.
Honest question, does anybody in the West even know what a "win" for Ukraine even looks like at this point?
I'm serious, what are our objectives here? Restore Ukraine to her 2014 borders? Her 1991 borders - that involves retaking Crimea and assaulting a Russian naval base? The total destruction of Russia as a military power?
I'm asking because at the moment the West's objective appears to be the latter, no matter the cost in Ukrainian lives or territory - and I'm not sure the people of Ukraine would pick that one if they were given any choice at all in the matter.
Yes, very obviously:
Russia throws in the towel and agreed to pull out on terms Ukraine agrees to.
Ukraine drives the Russians out of Ukrainian territory through military force despite Russia's best efforts to stop them.
Simple as.
Defendant the innocent and the righteous against an evil, imperialistic aggressor.
Ukrainian naval base, temporarily occupied by Russia. And Ukraine has already hit it with missiles, so idk why you're pretending it's shocking to attack it.
That's pretty much already happened by this point. Russia is losing to UKRAINE, one of the poorest countries in Europe. Pretty sure the Baltic states could take Russia 1v1 at this point.
You don't care what Ukraine wants. Ukraine wants to fight and win. And it is entirely up to them. The West has no say, except to threaten to cut Ukraine off, which isn't going to happen.
