He was just an example. He is well known for having directly benefited from Hunter's dealings in Ukraine and China, in exchange for favours from the US government. There is a LOT that Hunter could say about Joe's crimes.
But he is far from being the only person that Hunter could incriminate, were he to answer questions honestly.
No. Leave the pardon.
Now that he can no longer be convicted for the crimes he committed, he is no longer legally allowed to plead the 5th. Congress can call him to testify about every crime he was involved in, and if he refuses to talk or lies, he can be held in contemp of congress or guilty of perjury, which are two offenses for which he can still be sent to prison.
His shield is not as impervious as he thinks. It could also condemn several others, including Joe himself.
Quebec had some of the harshest covid restrictions of the entire world, under the CAQ leadership. Certainly nowhere near as bad as Australia, but they were planning on building covid gulags, just like them. The only reason they refrained was because of the trucker convoy in Ottawa, and the discussions of doing the same thing to the parliament in Quebec City. People voted for the CAQ in order to have more Right-leaning leadership, to have fewer taxes and overall to be left alone, and François Legault went and fucked over all of his people with tyrannical and nonsensical rules based on the flimsiest of evidence. Just like with Trudeau, I'm also flabbergasted that he managed to win an election after his horrible mismanagement of the "pandemic".
The covid years have proven that expecting the majority of people to exert the most basic of logical scrutiny over media and government claims, was already asking for far too much. My faith in humanity had never been lower, but at least Trump's election is helping to improve it a bit.
Apparently need over 50% votes to get the position. All the democrats would toe the party line and vote "no" because he's qualified for the job, and some republicans had already openly stated they wouldn't support him, perhaps because of that time he walked through the halls of Congress with some reporters and pointed to those neocons' doors and mentioned facts about their stock portfolios that strongly hinted of insider trading.
They really should have gone with the Darth Jar Jar theory.
So you got me curious, and I'm now looking at what the Steam store offers for free for Half-Life. But the thing is that I never played either the first or the second one, so I'm not sure what I should be getting. If I wanted to properly experience this series, which ones should I download, or in which order should I play them? The options are:
"Half-Life: Caged", "Half-Life: Restored", "Half-Life: Before", "Half-Life - The Freeman Chronicles"
At least, for Half-Life 2, it's more straightforward. The only options I can see are: "Half-Life 2: Downfall", and "Half-Life 2: Update". All the rest of the options seem to be soundtracks, demos or plungers. But the first one's options just make it confusing.
Edit: Oh. Seems that all of those were just "partial matches" and there was an "exact match" above that with the actual game. But that still confuses me a bit. Does it mean that everything I mentioned above are DLCs or patches?
Didn't the ice axe woman kill her father at around 8 pm, before the voting results started coming out? She had a psychotic breakdown and insisted the lights had to be turned off, her dad tried to reason with her, she realized she couldn't convince him because she was insane and couldn't vocalize her reasons even to herself, so she killed him as the only way to turn them off.
Utter nutcase, needs to be put in the electric chair or live the rest of her life in a padded room.
What do you guys think? Will Zegler's Mud Brown movie ever come out? At this point, I don't think that there's a single demographic actually looking forward to watching it. They've probably already tanked hundreds of millions of dollars in reshoots and CGI in order to attempt to make whatever slop they have palatable, and while that's happening, we have this dumb bitch going around, making statements after statements that just make everyone hate her.
Conservatives won't watch it because it's Disney and the main actress is reprehensible. Normies won't watch it because the reviews will be negative, the previews will look like dogshit, and no one will be able to believe that Gal Gadot could ever be jealous of Zegler's appearance, especially considering how bad Snow White's haircut looks on her. The only possible market demographic would be the extreme leftists that live only to support everything that anyone conservative dislikes, which is an extremely fringe minority, and which all the recent Disney remakes and Mouse Wars shows have already completely worn out.
Mud Brown will be one of the biggest bombs of all time, if it ever comes out.
She would ramble 5 minutes about how important skating is, how it can be a good exercise, how it is a part of many sports, how it gives people hope, but she would never outright admit or deny to skating herself in her free time, and would sidestep any question about how long she has been skating.
For all those who've never seen it, this Patrice O'Neal stand-up routine is gold
Exactly. It's not like only black people are called "animals". A famous example would be the song "Only a Lad" by Oingo Boingo, about a white juvenile criminal. Whoever reported Margarine's comment as an "identity attack" is only projecting and showing his own racist streak.
Stormy Daniels is legitimately deranged. I'm still unsure about whether or not Trump ever slept with her. We know his lawyer paid her to shut up about her claims without consulting Trump, and that's about it. Whether her claims were true or not seems to still be up in the air.
What did they do to the illithids? Are they no longer creatures obsessed with enslaving the minds of huge colonies of thralls to do their bidding and to occasionally serve as snacks when their brains are litterally sucked out through their ears or eye sockets?
No, it's not the same author.
Chainsaw Man is written by Fujimoto Tatsuki, who also wrote Fire Punch. (Which, admittedly, did also involve cannibalism.)
Drama Queen is written by Kuraku Ichikawa. Although this is the first manga I hear of written by him, he seems to be rather prolific, having completed 7 other series.
I agree that the drawing styles have a lot of similarities, though. It was one of my first thoughts upon reading it, as well.
