Why does it have blue hair. Lol The original is clearly a dangerous hunter. The skin makes it look tough, the bones are clear trophies. The lack of armor and trophy plush laser gun conflict to tell us advanced hunter.
Did you watch the movie? The main character, Dek (predator) is the "runt", without spoiling anything, he has to prove himself, and hasn't earned to be equipped with the high tech gear yet, which is why he isn't outfitted like the predators we know. The same director did Prey. There's a handful of easter eggs that nod to the Aliens franchise and previous Predator films.
I haven't seen the new movie yet, but it exudes "participation trophy".
It seems to be part of the demoralisation campaign to tell young lads that being weak and effeminate is okay, because there's "strength in diversity".
Again, I haven't seen the film, but every single major Hollywood blockbuster starring a male is typically themed around subverting his masculinity in some way, or discouraging men from embracing their primal masculinity.
Every new action flick starring male leads are almost the opposite of Arnold and Stallone films from the 80s. There are no longer, muscle-bound, hard-nosed, take-charge males who know what needs to be done and gets it done without fuss, it's usually about some whiny millennial/zoomer-tier underdog who is unsure of himself.
It's basically a way to placate the lazy and discourage the male populace from embracing one's unbridled testosterone to be uncompromisingly manly.
I almost started the new one, but the trailer discouraged me from starting. There’s a white female human android or something that tags along with this predator, and I just have a wild hunch that she’s the voice of reason and guides the poor lost helpless male predator.
I saw someone comparing Charels Xavier's death scenes in X-Men 3 and the Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness, and it was crazy how much better X3 was. That's how bad things were four years ago. They're even worse now.
I'll never get over how the studios were going to give the lead role in Predator 2 to Patrick Swayze once Arnold dropped out, but Swayze had to decline due to the injuries he suffered during that fight with Marshall Teague. That would have been an interesting film for sure.
I also can't wrap my head around the fact that they retooled the script for Steven Seagal, who they were also going to give the role to following Swayze's departure, but when the director met Steven for lunch to talk about the role and the film, he had such a distaste for Steven that they ended up going with Danny Glover instead.
I would love to know how that conversation went that the director disliked Seagal so much that he noped out for someone like Danny Glover.
Huh, I had no idea it went around like that. Like musical chairs for the lead. Good to know.
Especially when Gary Busey was in the film. He's got a legendary abrasive personality on account of an accident giving him some kind of traumatic brain injury, so his filter for niceties and pleasantries got tossed out the window and he just says and does whatever now.
For all we know, their foreheads dont grow in til they hit a certain age. I can agree the design is worse but at least the movie includes a pretex for it.
Just one darn tootin moment- how come you dont care about his forehead in the picture of the actual character, but you do care about gis forehead in my post? You city folk I tell you

The new one is just some stupid thing.
Honestly just looks like a black kid from Detroit lol
I thought it looks like a middle-aged lesbian
Why not both? Kek
Fortnite Predator

No because the movie is garbage from the land of garbage and prey is girlboss garbage from the land of girlboss garbage.
Bro went from Animal Kingdom Predator to Diddy Predator

That's just embarrassing.
The continued enshittification of everything.

In the drama, his father wanted to kill him for being weak
Well, I guess they've managed to make Predator 2 look way better at this point.
I might watch that again tonight.
What was mediocre in the 90's and 2000's are now masterpieces by comparison. I should give Robocop 3 a rewatch one of these days...

What about his death in Logan?
The man dies too frequently to discuss them all. He's really got to step it up.
I realized this when playing the resident evil 2 remake and comparing it to the original.

I thought the new movie was great. He's a runt in the family which explains the derpy looks.
Runt implies small, he looks nothing like a predator we know...deformed is a better more accurate description...
For all we know, their foreheads dont grow in til they hit a certain age. I can agree the design is worse but at least the movie includes a pretex for it.
Who said anything about a "forehead?"
He looks deformed and the forehead isn't why.
???

I've literally never said anything about a forehead so wtf are you taking about?
