I'm waking up tomorrow to hear we hit Iran, right?
posted 141 days ago by Kienan 141 days ago by Kienan +46 / -0

I hope I'm wrong (and might very well be), but it feels like this shit is getting more and more inevitable.

If not today, likely within the month.

I didn't vote for this. I actually voted against this.

And gay bars.

Well, I guess, short sell gay bars when the pentagon's active.

That... I... you...

...

We need a small business loan. RIGHT. NOW.

Think of it... Papi's Pizza: a Himbo Hooters with Pizza. We can send Himbos and Twinks to deliver Pizza's when the pentagon is busy; and when it's not busy they can just come to the bar like normal to see the entertainment! WE CAN'T LOOSE!

I am feeling the same thing. Worse, some of the boomers over at Jim's blog are all in on this. It is driving me nuts how they can fall for the same trick that has been used to get this fake and gay country into desert wars for decades now. Decades. One of my coworkers is in the guard and he just got call back for an "indefinite period.". Doesn't bode well.

I've been seeing lots of people (probably including lots of bots) on TheDonald swallow the excuses for our attack on Venezuela and why we kidnapped Maduro. Excuses like "he's funneling drugs into the U.S.", to "Venezuela helped facilitate the 2020 election steal", to "Hamas has terrorist cells in Venezuela", to "the Venezuelan people want us there", and those idiots are swallowing all of it. They swallow it just enough for the news cycle to change topics, so they don't think on it too much, and realize how awfully stupid and blatantly false it is.

Apparently, to convince the normies on why we have to invade [insert country here], they just have to be fed a few slightly plausible lies told by a few "experts", and it's apparently enough for them. For the people still sycophanting over Trump, being told about Hamas, drugs, and election stealing is enough. I can't believe anyone would be retarded enough to think Venezuela of all places was central to manipulating our election results, when most of the people involved are right here in our own country. It's insane that anyone could believe the "drugs bad" angle for why we attacked Venezuela, because if that were the case, we should be attacking dozens of countries, many with far more guilt of funneling drugs (like Mexico), not to mention the largest importer of drugs is the CIA and our own government.

The same kinds of weak excuses were given for Afghanistan (Bin Laden was there, and the Taliban was behind 9/11), to Iran (they're "2 weeks" from getting nukes!), to backing the "rebels" in Syria (Assad used chemical weapons on civilians), to backing the rebels in Libya (Gaddafi is an evil despot), to backing the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt (it was the "arab spring" and we support "democracy"), to invading Iraq the second time (Saddam had WMDs!), to invading Iraq the first time (Saddam was ripping babies out of incubators!), to Viet Nam (they attacked our boats!), etc.... Every single excuse was a lie. Every single one. And yet, many idiot right wingers still believe the lies.

I hope we do attack Iran. I hope the lies become so ridiculously obvious it's like dropping a bag of hammers on the head of every idiot still swallowing the propaganda. I hope their idiocy actually physically injures them. I pray every day for God to show everyone how thoroughly and completely they've been lied to, and every day God answers my prayers.

It's beyond astroturfed now. And I have no doubt many of those posters are bots, or at least out of some intel unit. I like to blackpill over there to make them smell their own bullshit.

Incredibly stated. Had to quote this for posterity. Thank you for at least listing all the horseshit that has been shoved down our throats for decades. I cannot begin to explain the deep contempt I have for our current incarnation of 'government'. All lies straight from the pit of Hell.

I hope the the lies become so ridiculously obvious it's like dropping a bag of hammers on the head of every idiot still swallowing the propaganda.

I laughed out loud in real life. Seriously gave me a good chuckle.

For a final note: I've seen enough. I won't be participating in the next merry-go-round of dogshit. All trust capital has been spent and I am now out of fucks to give.

Great summary and great rant.

Apparently, to convince the normies on why we have to invade [insert country here], they just have to be fed a few slightly plausible lies told by a few "experts", and it's apparently enough for them.

In a way the MAGA influencers are correct that the speed and apparent ease of the operation are pretty good selling points to people. The country isn't geared up for a beachhead on Venezuela with a few battalions of Marines, but they'll rah rah for Delta Force doing some kind of movie script mission.

Iran is being sold the same way. According to Ben Shapiro it'll just be "a few precise airstrikes" and if the government decides to fight back then that'll open the door for "more airstrikes." They are explicitly emphasizing that there will be no nation-building commitment, so roughly speaking we are around the Kosovo level of intervention.

It remains to be seen, however, if that will be enough to destabilize the Iranian regime. They have proved quite resilient.

That's one of the reasons this new MAGA variant of neocon warhawking is pissing me off so much. They're apparently fine with doing exactly the same things we've been doing for decades, the things they claim to be against (neocons, warhawking, regime change, needless wars, enriching globalists and military industrial complex), the things they claimed to like about Trump's campaign promises (LOL), but so long as it's concentrated and doesn't last long, they're fine with it. Bunch of spineless hypocrites.

If they actually held to their morals and virtues, it wouldn't matter how long or short an evil things lasts, because they'd be against it regardless.

Republicans and Milititary bugmen go apeshit over action. Especially if its shock and awe stuff like bombing and using Super secret delta seal commando team 642794 to rappel in and kidnap hajiman #3728 from terroristan #47282.

Worse. The propaganda is more inept.

At least, allegedly, we went after Saddam because he had WMDs and could have killed millions of Americans. We're going after Iran because...they're mean to protestors?! It's just so fucking stupid. The whole thing is so fucking stupid.

At least, allegedly, we went after Saddam because he had WMDs and could have killed millions of Americans.

Not even close. He never had them. And I knew that myself when I was in Kuwait in the late 90's. Same time that he kicked the inspectors out. We never found any evidence he had WMD's. All that BS is from 'Curveball'. All manufactured. Kill millions of Americans? That's quite laughable.

The only thing he may have been 'guilty' of is contracting with a French aerospace firm to build a long range missile launch system. One that could easily hit Israel. Our 'greatest ally' simply found that unacceptable.

Read what you quoted again. I said "allegedly," not that I thought he had them. I'm just saying that the existential threat of the propaganda with WMDs was much more impressive and actionable than the idea that Iran might not do the whole 'human rights' thing in the same way we allegedly do.

That's it. I'm not saying there were WMDs. Hell, at the time, I was a liberal, literally out there on the streets waving signs, probably about no blood for oil or some shit.

This is one of the best ways to spot lies and liars. If they're not logically consistent in their actions and beliefs, it means they're lying.

For example, if their outward stated purpose for attacking Iran is because "gotta protect the downtrodden protestors", then they're lying, because if that were true and they were logically consistent, we'd have to be engaged all over the planet to help the poor downtrodden folk. We haven't done that, so they're hypocrites only telling slightly plausible lies to fool the gullible.

Another example, if they claim the attack on Iran is about denuclearization, then they're lying, because if denuclearization of dangerous nations was a priority, we'd have attacked Israel decades ago, and assuming their neocon propaganda to be true, we'd also attack Russia, China, Korth Korea, and Pakistan. We haven't done these things, so it's an obvious hypocrisy and lie.

This is why logic and consistency are so crucial for us. It's not necessarily to help convince normies in arguments, but to help us spot lies and liars.

I watch what is going on with Iran and I think back to the fall and winter of 2002, when the same thing was going on with Iraq, and I feel powerless to stop it.

To my eternal shame, I was in favor of invading Iraq, and defended it for years after it happened.

I won't do it this time, and it makes me black pilled that we will never peaceably throw off the pervasive influence of the Jew lobby.

I watch what is going on with Iran...and I feel powerless to stop it.

Dude, it's honestly so fucking discouraging.

I've never felt embarrassed to be American. I love America, I love the ideals. Most importantly, these are my People. If we keep pulling this blatantly imperialist, globalist shit, and it's coming from "my team," I don't fucking know where I go from there.

I fought off the blackpill for years. If we actually hit Iran, again, which does seem likely...I just don't know. This isn't the country I want.

To my eternal shame, I was in favor of invading Iraq, and defended it for years after it happened.

At least you realized and changed. I don't hold it against you, honestly. I've known and liked plenty of people who supported Iraq/Afghanistan. People got caught up, I get it. Don't feel shame, there's no point.

I won't do it this time, and it makes me black pilled that we will never peaceably throw off the pervasive influence of the Jew lobby.

They'll never let us peacefully throw off the influence. That's the really blackpilling point. How easy it would be, if they'd just allow the offramp. Just compromise, take the foot off the gas. But, no. They won't allow it. So it's either fight fire with fire, or surrender, it seems. It shouldn't be like this, and if our enemies were sane it wouldn't be like this.

Highly unlikely that it will be tonight.

Carrier groups aren't in position for such a strike. Unless Trump's planning on flying more B-1bombers from Iowa and refueling the entire distance. While that's possible, and we have done it, it's a hell of a request to a make without months of planning and pre-positioning. Maybe they kept the re-fuelers in position, but it's still a herculean task to bomb them tonight.

permalink save report block reply
▲ 7 ▼
– ArchRespawnsAgain 7 points 141 days ago +7 / -0

This actually is true. The carriers are not ready. There could be a minor attack like a cruise missile from a sub or something. Watch for news of carrier groups and other forces moving to the region. That's how you something big is about to go down.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– Gizortnik 2 points 141 days ago +2 / -0

Adding onto this, we've already seen American nuclear subs launch cruise missiles with excellent effect on target with almost no detection (until people leaked that it had fired because nobody even knew it was there, and people started gloating).

Thinking about it now, that would probably be the most likely avenue of attack, as Iran would certainly have now way of detecting them, and no way of stopping the missiles once they were in there air. None of our gulf allies including Saudi Arabia and Qatar (patoey!) would inform the Iranians of a strike from a submarine. One or two submarines firing cruise missiles would only cause minimal damage generally, or major damage in specific places; so like Milosovich, it could deter further massacres if a single important place was struck (or somebodies house).

The biggest risk would be an Iranian counter-battery strike on Qatari & American bases in the area. Given how the carrier task force would have the most anti-missile systems available, I'm not confident a proper missile attack from the Iranians using their best stuff (if one is still possible) could be stopped. Most likely, American forces would need to be immediately repositioned off base to reduce casualties, like they did back in Al-Asad in 2020.

Question is, is such an exchange worth it? No, probably not. However, if Iran's missile sites aren't functioning, or the target of the cruise missile attack are the missiles themselves, maybe the calculation is better. I don't know enough to be sure.

Then again, if you're the Iranians, would you really want to use your missiles on the Americans for conducting a small strike on your shit, or wait for a real Israeli air attack. Israel could very well launch a major air offensive themselves; but they'd be seen coming literally a thousand miles away because Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, and Turkey are gonna call them out immediately, even if they don't intercept them.

If the US does a strike like that, it will be a face-saving thing so Trump can look tough after promising to attack.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– Gizortnik 3 points 141 days ago +3 / -0

It doesn't necessarily have to be face-saving only. Like with Milosevich, if you target the right places, and you have saboteurs on the ground continuing to operate behind the scenes, and your goal is to actually just stop Iranian forces from killing civilians, that is a way get them to do that.

Even if regime change is the objective, as with Venezuela, why does the regime have to change this second? We yeeted Maduro, but the regime is actually still there. Truly, the urgency from both the rioters and the regime is that both are convinced the other will kill every last one of them (currently, both are correct). If you can allow an avenue of egress for the regime where they don't have to get killed, and the protestors don't have to worry about having their whole family executed, maybe a slower form of transition is possible. After all, there's still basically no one who could claim legitimacy in the opposition if the regime fell today.

Honestly, I think we have been planning for a while. Look at the sudden strike on Venezuela. This shit has been in the pipeline for ages.

So, I get what you're saying, and it's a good point...but it's also still possible this shit is locked in.

Not really. Rubio was planning an attack for months, not really years. The assets moved into position and had been slowly testing Venezuela's military capacity while Delta was training daily how to raid Maduro's house.

Shit being on paper as a plan is nice, but actually maneuvering into position is a whole different thing.

If the Americans want to pull some black-ops shit; they can easily use CIA SAD guys, along with whatever network Mossad has in-country to conduct bombings and assassinations. TBH, some decent snipers could wreck havoc on police & militia shooting protestors if that was the primary concern. Libyan militias were actually famous for this, and the earlier parts of the coup in Ukraine had similar tactics. Snipers can stall armor, so there's plenty of shit that can be done to protect the protestors, or even collapse the government, without airstrikes.

"Surely the US doesn't give a shit about the Iranians on the ground."

little bit from column a, little bit from column b. Building rapport with the locals helps a lot in any military effort, and smoking a piece of shit who's machine gunning civilians gains you quite a few points.

Not really. Rubio was planning an attack for months, not really years.

I never said years. I said "ages." Which is ambiguous. Point is, it's possible that, just like with Venezuela, we have sneaky Iran attacks in the tubes. The admin has clearly wanted this for some time. Considering they clearly wanted both, it's likely at least potential Iran attacks have been planned just as long as the Venezuela attacks, and so are ready to go whenever they pull the trigger.

Honestly, it would be more surprising if we didn't have Iran attacks at the ready, considering the dialogue coming out of the Whitehouse.

I get the impression that they expected the protest gayop to be more successful. It sounds like Iran was better at jamming Starlink than they expected, and that is disrupting the gayop.

https://www.forbes.com/sites/zakdoffman/2026/01/13/kill-switch-iran-shuts-down-starlink-internet-for-first-time/?streamIndex=0

That said, they might just attack anyway. Key is looking out for carrier movements. If they start moving, expect something pretty big.

It would be impossible that nothing's drawn up. The question is more about what's actually ready. Getting operators in is easier than moving ships and aircraft. We had CIA SAD guys in Afghanistan within 5 days of the 9/11 attacks. But, the navy was so out position that normal air strikes wouldn't be available for over a month.
