I wonder why no one is making good art anymore? 🤔 (media.kotakuinaction2.win)

Boring people create boring art.

Zelda was inspired by Shigeru Miyamoto's childhood exploring caves in the countryside.

Pokemon came about from Satoshi Tajiri's love of catching bugs.

Hemingway and Tolkien's stories were shaped by war.

Your modern "artist" does none of that. They live a mediocre existence of sitting in chairs, and occasionally "travel" to sit in a different chair and stuff their face with ethnic yum-yums.

This isn't it. I have a boring life by comparison but I could create good art. The internet used to have great "art" before it all became censored.

A sterile culture that censors excellence leads to boring art. You cannot conform to this culture and produce quality art. If you do not conform to this culture you will never be given any opportunities to display your art and you will be censored if you do by the institutions of power in this culture.

u/HallucinatoryBeing

CaptainTrouble is right here.

The guy who created Conan the Barbarian, Solomon Kane, he created both of those in his 20s, living in a small po-dunk town in Texas. he had commited suicide at like the age of 32.

He created those by being well read and creative, not by leading an extraordinary life.

It can help, having an interesting life, but it's more about what CaptainTrouble says. Your output is severely impacted by your input. If the input you start with is ugliness, wokeness and the opposite of freedom, there's zero chance of you producing art that is good.

People could live a boring life and create good art if their minds aren't poisoned.

Just skimming over his life, Robert E. Howard was the son of a traveling doctor and seen some shit from the oil booms of the time: lynchings, gunfights, Indian attacks, etc. Between that and getting bullied in school, he took up boxing and a "might makes right" attitude in life. Hardly a boring existence.

A soft city boy who spent his entire life in a comfy chair could've never written something as Darwinistic as Conan the Barbarian.

It's the same point. HallucinatorBeing is right but that the examples made it seem like it has to be something out of the ordinary.

But it doesn't need to be something exotic. The problem is that rather than having even the day-to-day life experience of someone in a po-dunk town in Texas, they are consuming media. Which goes well with what CaptainTrouble said. Garbage in, garbage out.

In the past, the input was a blend of real-world experience and other artistic influences. Now the only input outside of overproduced slop that they're getting is the most minimal of life experiences. Which is why the only thing they write is petty arguments, relationship drama, and pop-culture references.

Fuck off, I'm sick and tired of this idolization of "freedom", freedom is one of the core sicknesses of the west and it was created and forced on us by jews in hollywood, look at how sex and romance are treated, "free" and it destroys nations, leads to good men being treated as evil, and allows for legalized child sex without commitment as long as both participants are minors. It's disgusting and I would gladly kill to fight the evil false god of "freedom"

Freedom means free from the government controlling your life. Free to feel the consequences of your actions. Free doesn't mean the ability to be immoral.

The government needs to control people's lives in order to ensure morality and create consequences for the wrong actions, we no longer have that, instead we have "free love" which really just means "no love" for men like me.

▲ 5 ▼
– CaptainTrouble 5 points 176 days ago +5 / -0

Absolutely not. What creates good morals is good genetics. Morality is downstream of genetics not government. A purely White society has no need for government to force its morality on everyone. The reason society has broken down is because we're a society full of non-Whites ruled by jews.

Most immorality in today's world was literally caused by government.

Why would I want to force myself to waste time doing something that I won't enjoy and that won't benefit me in any way? I never had a choice in what I was forced to be, everyone abused me into this position just for trying to reach out and solve my problems.

There's a significant difference between freedom and licence. As the founding fathers knew well, freedom is only worth something to a moral people (and a moral people are the only ones deserving of freedom).

Not just freedom from responsibility: freedom from consequences.

▲ 3 ▼
– StaticNoise2 3 points 176 days ago +3 / -0

This comes down to a difference in definition of freedom, based on what you hear, vs what I'm saying. It's a common problem across all people. When people don't know the definition someone's using, we'll hear the definition we think of and react, when that wasn't the definition that they meant.

In the Bible, those who sin are slaves to sin.

Those who "do whatever they want that's right in their own eyes" are the most enslaved people.

Contrastingly, those who the Son sets free is free indeed! and the ones who are freed by Christ also imitate Christ and do not do the deeds of darkness. It doesn't mean Christians don't sin, we struggle and sin often. It means, we no longer have a mind that is beholden to darkness and nothing else, we're freed from the slavery of only obeying our flesh. We are now free to have a mind that puts Christ, puts God in the proper place of worship in our minds and heart, we're free to choose to hold our thoughts captive to Christ...You become a slave to Christ, but everyone's a slave, either to their flesh (which is ultimately a slave to Satan) or a slave to Christ. Only in Christ is that slavery a positive thing and is more like freedom.

That's true freedom.

Now even among atheists, when the society was more Christian minded, it helped their mind even if they weren't aware of it. There's a reason why even atheists could write good art in the 20th century....because their mind was being influenced by Christian thought subconsciously in ways they weren' even aware of it, even if they were anti-Christian themselves.

So when I say a "free mind" , I'm not talking about the libertarian "everything consensual is permitable dude...." freedom.

I'm talking about a mind that isn't subject to being given over to the Romans 1 depravity that minds get given over to, that in modern day West, we are seeing in huge swaths of the West.

Having a mind that isn't utterly given over to depraved mind is the ultimate freedom in terms of having a mind and being able to create art that is worthwhile.

With a mind that is given over, the best you can produce is ugliness, tearing down what's beautiful....etc.

Most of Japan has stories like that. Kids are left to their own thing. You will find a kid hunting lizards 5 miles from town and no one is worried. That's why so many games from Japan have that set up. Miyamoto took it, based stuff on other rpgs at the time, and created Zelda.

Tolkien had most of his story created before he went to war. It was his childhood adventure stories. He just happened to be a linguist with a very strange and tragic life. He said that WW 1 was not very influential.

Hemingway was insane. He thought jokingly shooting himself was funny. No one knows if he meant the suicide. About half the time I was in classes reading his works I recognized fishing metaphors that my city bread teacher didn't understand.

Basically, people who don't understand how talent works make up stories because it makes more sense to them.

I grew up that way here. I find it horrifying that people call the cops or CPS for any playing outside. Any walking to the store. Anything that allows child free assholes to see a child freaks them out, and pisses them off. The kid experience has been ruined intentionally by kid haters.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 4 ▼
– AlfredicEnglishRules 4 points 176 days ago +4 / -0

I don't know if it's child haters. Japan is very elderly centric. They have kindergartens for old folks to play in while their kids are at work. In much of asia the saying goes that they can have more kids while a kid will only have one set of parents.

A high trust society means the kids are safe for the most part.

You need to read the comments the next time you see an article of the pol8ce getting called on k8ds for doing normal kid things. It's completely polarized with people having my opinion that it a normal/safe, it's what I did growing up. And, the hating child free( I am aware not all people that are child free hate kids) saying they don't even want to see a child, keep the child inside or they'll call the police.

Dony forget this is happen at the same time parents are trying to get their kids to have less screen time.

▲ 2 ▼
– AlfredicEnglishRules 2 points 176 days ago +2 / -0

I'm not denying you this. I'm saying much of our reasoning is based on a children first mentality. The hatred is response to that.

Japan doesn't care about their kids in that way at all, so there is little response to those ideas.

Is it really child-free assholes? Or is it broken women who are so tuned into to the mainstream news-cycle that Mean World Syndrome has become their personality? Where they see a kid walking unaccompanied outside and are convinced there's 3 serial killers and 8 rapists in that bush down the road.

Granted, there seems to be a concerted effort to prove them right through migration.

How the fuck is that a bad thing? I'd call the cops or CPS on suspected teens I see unaccompanied by elders if I didn't know the degenerate faggots in badges would just laugh me off or treat me like I'm the problem. Kids need to be cracked down on otherwise they get into sex drugs and relationships.

My youngest son and his friends couldn't even do bike, and skatboard tricks in an empty parking garage when he was in high school because people would call the police. The police would go apologize to the boys, and tell them they weren't doing anything wrong. And they never got in trouble. But, they had to leave because the calls wouldn't stop unless they leave.

I was of the opinion, they clearly were behaving. And, and everyone could see they were out of they way. But, they were told to go inside. My son did end up finding an inside sport. He discovered he liked beating people up. That didn't stay inside though. Luckily we grow are supposed to grow out of dumbassery.

I completely disagree with you if it wasn't clear.

There's just massive upwards wealth transfers.

And occasional CIA false flags.

Ever noticed how modern Hollywood slop is so uncritical of the establishment? In Spider-man NWH, they made J.J.J a Spider-man hating Alex Jones type pundit. Realistically, the msnm would've sided with Mysterio, establishing him as a martyr. But media relentlessly attacking someone based on a fabricated narrative and potentially making the conspiracy theorist being right all along, siding with the hero, would've made too many people raise an eyebrow, I guess.

Same with The Boys, the first season is about celebrity culture, how the government conspires with arm dealers and corpos. Homelander is compelling because he tries to get out of that conditioning, even if his upgringing makes him twisted. So, of course they had to make him a glumpf expy in season 2 onwards

A light in the black: indie and older movies, shows, and games are popular. In that long gap between seasons, on Netflix, for their good shows, ancient westerns were kicking ass across the streaming land, including with the chirrins. Zoomers are discovering the Twilight Zone the Outer Limits, Gunsmoke, spaghetti westerns, the old Bonds etc..

I've definitely heard about GPrime85 & Blackpilled/Devon Stack talk about the paucity of RW art, the reasons for it & the difficulties of trying to fill the void.

Can't recall any specific conclusions or solutions though.

Devon Stack did just create an experimental AI parody about American Indians killing IRL settler missionaries called the Whitmans. It wasn't my cup of tea, but he was very proud of the work he put in (apparently worked on it without sleep for a few 24 hour cycles) and talked about how similar projects will likely be important to push white nationalist narratives in the future in the slop wars.
