All commodities are subject to supply and demand. That includes housing and labor.
Migrants inevitably damage the host society. This is why discussion between legal or illegal immigration is so pointless. If they don't belong, they don't belong. A piece of paper doesn't change that.

I don't agree with that. The damage caused by migration is a product of the quantity and quality of migrants, but the level at which that occurs isn't anything above zero. You can poach German nuclear physicists and rocket scientists and your society will be better off for it.

I'm almost suspicious that those that promote the invasion, either openly or by implication, are also secret anti environmental considering rather than kick the illegals out thereby freeing up housing stock, they instead promote the building of MORE homes on once open and wild land.
Of course there's the obvious they just want to use this to artificially keep housing prices high for their own gain, but part of me can't help thinking that considering in EVERY other field this older generation of property owners seem to drain everything of worth from younger generations.
The majority of land in this country is owned by the federal government. There is so much land it's hardly an actual factor.
