Something the left can’t understand. Also note their inability to say something good about their own country. “At least we try to be inclusive”. Can’t just say we are inclusive because we’re so lame and uncool

I like beautiful things existing even if I derive no immediate benefit from their existence.

The jeet mind cannot comprehend this.

They are racist. And that's a good thing. But they've become less racist over the decades. And that's a bad thing.

They don't care as much of its asian mixes. Not Asian mixes it is location dependant. Example, near US military bases not an issue.

basically a fairly large entertainment magazaine came out to say she was involved with a married man and with no official denials from her or her agency, this killed her career

On top of underage drinking

Japan is a high trust society, plain as that.

Behave, or be not.

If they're on a kids show, I would hope so.

Your argument is that if anyone ever is let off for something, that the law shouldn't exist and literally everyone should get away with that bad behavior.

You are wrong.

My argument is that if we are going to erase someone from a show, we should be clear about what it's actually for. To lean on it being for the morals of underage drinking is a direct statement that the morals are fucked up.

What you're actually calling "wrong" is something I did not say nor believe.

You are right, we should stop shaming people for consuming a highly addictive and destructive substance at an age when they have poor impulse control and their brain is still trying to develop.

Its such a horror that people care about such things.

If a minor TV star has her career killed because of underage drinking, yet so many huge stars have done so much worse and their careers are even bolstered, then morality is not the reason for the minor TV star. It's dishonest to pretend the reasoning is about something like underage drinking lol.

People don't care about the addictive/destructive nature of alcohol and protecting the youth. They cared about this particular person losing her status. If they cared about alcohol consumption, why aren't so many more celebrities cancelled?

You have your priorities mixed up imo.

Yes, in the United States we let people who do children's programming get away with all kinds of shit. I think almost every single guy who has ever voiced Elmo is a pedophile.

We SHOULDN'T be permitting this.

Because we SHOULD be doing what Japan does, and ensuring that if people want to make shows for kids that they aren't fucked up bad influences.

2 guys have voiced Elmo and one is a pedophile.

I think expecting someone to cater their personal life to their screen persona is stupid. Obviously, some offenses are greater than others, underage drinking being mild at best.

Was she drinking in front of the kids? Was she telling the kids to drink? Where did her bad influence come into play?

Because if this is something we should take seriously, then we should have standards of what specifically is not allowed.

I think expecting someone to cater their personal life to their screen persona is stupid.

The Japanese don't.

Was she drinking in front of the kids?

So your claim then is that, for a public figure, they can have absolutely zero influence of children unless an act is done directly in front of them?

Sorry but that doesn't hold water either. The concepts of reputation and disgrace are not imaginary.

then we should have standards of what specifically is not allowed.

They do. That's the point.

You won't see disagreement from me that other celebrities get away with worse, but the solution isn't to just let go of different infractions because of whataboutism. That'll just end up with the bar lowered further everytime instead of people fixing the big stuff and then eventually getting back around to it.

morality

The reasons I listed weren't moral, they were physical developmental problems with allowing minors to drink period. Which is why people get so up in arms about it, even though it could be considered relatively better than stuff they allow.

People don't care

I do, so I'll support this result even if the people along side me have less than altruistic intents for standing with me on it. The end result is the same.

If they cared about alcohol consumption, why aren't so many more celebrities cancelled?

Because adults are allowed to be retarded, that's part of the difference between being an adult and a minor, people no longer being able to tell you what to do even if its for your own good. Minors are not, because we've made the consensus that the rough age we allow them to do all sorts of retarded shit is about the time they have mostly shed the development and trappings of a teenager generally.

If we simply stop enforcing that, then what is the purpose of it at all? Should we just let teens drink themselves stupid and all of society has to deal with the consequences of that?

My son said she lost weight, and she isn't being recognized. She wasn't always a good person, and Japan will fire you for that. Being mixed didn't help, but she's Filipino/ Japanese.

She wasn't just a bully in the past, she actively bullies staff. And, no one liked her. No one wanted to work with her. That's exactly how you get fired. Look up her name. My son only recognized her fat picture. (I think she looks prettier before she lost too much weight)
