Yes, in the United States we let people who do children's programming get away with all kinds of shit. I think almost every single guy who has ever voiced Elmo is a pedophile.
We SHOULDN'T be permitting this.
Because we SHOULD be doing what Japan does, and ensuring that if people want to make shows for kids that they aren't fucked up bad influences.

I think expecting someone to cater their personal life to their screen persona is stupid. Obviously, some offenses are greater than others, underage drinking being mild at best.
Was she drinking in front of the kids? Was she telling the kids to drink? Where did her bad influence come into play?
Because if this is something we should take seriously, then we should have standards of what specifically is not allowed.

I agree! This claim doesn't hold water. Phew, I sure am glad I didn't say that, nor do I believe it! Would be pretty stupid to think that. My questions are asking about what exactly she did wrong. Just trying to establish the facts.
If a woman is a children's presenter on TV, and every public image of her is well presented to children, but in her private life she drinks underage and gossip channels catch wind and start spreading the news, is she a bad influence, or is the media for spreading the allegations? This is why I asked the questions that I asked.
