It was a pretty shitty cinematic. Back in the day, even in low res janky Warcraft 1, Blizzard had awesome cinematics. Even some of the newer expansions that are not that hot had good cinematics--BfA for instance.
This video felt in no way like a Warcraft video. The movement animations seemed "off" many times. Liadrin is fugly as fuck. Liadrin and Lorthemar both just look like basic mid humans.
You would think Blizzard would get it after seeing the numbers of their players who are on the classic servers.
They had some of the best cinematics back in the day. I still remember some from starcraft/broodwar.
World of Warcraft is in the same boat as Star Wars now: they’ve released way more shit content than good, so the franchise is - on balance - simply bad. There were two good expansions for WoW out of 11. The freaks have had control of the IP for over a decade now. It’s theirs. You’re the one who needs to leave.
I think you're right on this. WoW is kept alive by all the old farts, self included, who have kept playing for many years. Blizzard does not care about the old farts. What we like--what Warcraft was for many, many years--is dead and gone. Brutal orcs, cruel blood elves, savage and wild night elves, etc., have been replaced with gay furry dragons.
I would put it more around 4-5 good expansions:
BC was good WotLK was good Pandaria was good. Legion was definitely good. I enjoyed BfA. Sue me!

Cataclysm Warlords of Draenor had its moments and some nice zones, but so unfinished. Shadowlands. FML. Dragonflight. Didn't do it for me at all. War Within. I played one zone, got bored out of my mind, and I quit.
I think I've finally reached the point where I will not even buy Midnight.
It really is kept alive by an old guard, Classic gets far more interest than the Retail content. It's currenyl Classic MOP which has huge support as one of the most liked recent expansions other than Legion before things really went to shit.
