My elderly mum had a stroke.

They discharged her to home care with a severe uti, she came home with no paperwork, soiled herself, no carers arranged, thought she was in her family house that was demolished decades ago.

By the next day (and there's only so much I can do as one person that's completely self educated) she was screaming, just in general confusion, still shitting herself, didn't know who I was.

Had to put her into a home, the NHS paid for her care for all of 3 months (she paid into it for 58 years) before pulling it. That's opened another load of shit I've been dealing with since Feb this year.

Tbh if I ever find the people who did the video review on her, I would be tempted to at least break their legs.

That's the reason why I always laugh at people who talk about the awesome 'free healthcare' in Europe. The system is broken both in the US and Europe. Granted some countries are worse than others but in general you need to have enough money for private insurance or for paying out of pocket to get actually good and timely medical care.

Sounds exactly like canadian healthcare.

Must be one of those "crown" things.

I also want to say, I dont really like ops title, and it could easily be misconstrued as hate speech to outside observers.

The system looks to be for the people working it and not the patients.

Imported workers are a distraction and probably a symptom of the real problem.

What could they use to do it? The fools gave up their guns decades ago, and the spirited people who would do so were killed off, literally, in WW1 and WW2.

These talking points are so tired.

How are those 2A rights currently being employed to prevent your government from being controlled by Israel?

How many shots were fired to have the Trump administration back away from defunding states that boycotted israel?

There are too many negatives in this sentence for me to understand right now.

  1. we have guns and the brits (effectively) don't

  2. we are actively deporting our illegal immigrants and the brits aren't

  3. while we did lock down, the us lockdown was nowhere near as far as it was for the brits

a populace secure in their god-given right to defend themselves is much freer then a populace that isn't, even if it's still not perfect.

"we are actively deporting our illegal immigrants and the brits aren't"

At least they never had birthright citizenship. I'm sure it is too easy to get citizenship there anyway, especially for other commonwealth countries, but not as easy as here.

The idea of america is good, I think.

But our leaders are corrupt as hell and using it for their own selfish, nefarious reasons.

Not at all, because outside of scored.co/communities.win, Israel is still fairly popular with American gun owners in my experience, almost certainly above 50%, considering the latest polls I can find(From July) 71% of Republicans and 32% (an 18% drop from 20 months earlier) of all voters approve of Israel continuing military action in Gaza.

And according to the latest poll I could find(admittedly old), republicans and leaners were twice as likely to own a gun as democrats and leaners.

In 2023 through 2024 there were Israeli flags all over the place where I live. Support for Israel was legitimately grassroots until recently.

You have to remember, before the Soviet Union fell the US had even more jews than Israel. The US also has the highest percentage of jews married to non-jews of any country, the average American probably interacts with Jews on a daily basis. I can't find numbers of how many Israeli citizens are descended from a US citizen, but I can find that the Jewish population of the US went down from 1942 to 1970 despite large numbers having migrated here from Europe after WWI, Israel was practically seen as a colony.

The lack of mental capacity to fight is far more of a problem than the lack of tools. Where there's a will there's a way as they say.

But the British gov's favorite passtime is crushing the people's will to live, and they shall remain castrated and cucked unless they finally throw off that yoke and find new purpose in vigorously persecuting justice across the land.

With no guns, use a blade. With no blades, use a hammer. With no hammer, use a stick. With no sticks, use a rock. With no rocks, use your fists. With no fists, use your feet. With no feet, use your teeth. With no teeth, use your life. The point isn't the weapons. It's the spirit of the man who wields himself with purpose and conviction. All the guns in the world mean nothing if only cowards hold them. They aren't dead yet, even if they can't fight back, they only need to hold out for us to get there. Never accept defeat, that is reserved for the jews, jeets, and niggers

The thing about 1st world countries is that they have a lot of juicy infrastructure. Even a dude in a wheelchair, managing to get to the right locations, can be useful.

37% of their doctors are foreign born. That obviously doesn't include first gen arabs and indians who happened to be born in the UK (who are still arabs and indians and will never be otherwise).

The term ‘overseas doctors’ is applied to those who have graduated outside the UK, and embraces two groups: international medical graduates (IMG) and European Economic Area (EEA) graduates.3 In 1957, overseas doctors represented about 12% of the total medical workforce, the majority having migrated from Europe during or after World War II.4 The proportion has increased gradually. Recent data indicate non-UK graduates comprise 37% of the total number of doctors: 26% are IMGs and 11% from EEA.5

Yeah, I had a walkin indian doctor who didnt quite know what he was talking about.

"What do you mean there are two forms of vitamin d?"

"I cant refer you to a nephrologist, your basic urine panel is fine!"

Some real questionable shit.

But it was leagues better over the gay canadian white doctor who literally lied about medication I was never given and then also swapped my blood pressure readings around to make it look like my blood pressure was ok. LMAO.

Dude was a literal psychopaths working with wcb to deny claims. He did it so easily with me I guarantee hes done it to others as well.

I think thats what all doctors who go through medical school in canada become like it seems.

This is probably what America is going to look like in a decade or so. The government halved the cap on grad school loans and fewer people can afford the med school. The squeeze won't be felt right away since it takes several years for someone to become a doctor, which means it'll also take several years before any decision reversing will bring it to normal. So the knee-jerk option will be to import a bunch of (cheap) foreign doctors, likely from India to meet demands.

Already happening in rural areas.

https://publichealthpost.org/health-equity/the-toll-of-rural-hospital-closures/

Rural hospital closures have increased over the past twenty years. Since 2010, 136 rural hospitals have shut their doors with 37 ceasing operations since 2020 alone. Closures have left 10% of the rural population without access to an acute care hospital. An additional 600 hospitals in rural America are at risk of closing their doors in the future.

And the government really has the fucking balls to raise the retirement limit because they say were "living longer"

Why are normys so godamn stupid.

To be fair - doctors everywhere in the world are becoming DEI hires :

My family member in NY used to program pacemakers and worked with the team fitting the devices.

Some of the surgeons were jokingly called “doctor death” because they always fucked up everything.
