I fucking called this years ago. And it's coming to the UK and Canada next, and they'll eventually try a full rollout in the US, too, if it's not stomped out before then.
Children will just easily bypass it as the ones that enforce this will be tech idiots, especially in Australia.
What this WILL do is gradually push citizens to be more and more annoying with the constant ID checks till they snap, and you only need a small minority to snap to cause a BIG change.
Idk man I’m not from Australia but after they willingly went to COVID concentration camps I’m pretty sure they will roll over and do anything. They banned buying anything with cash that costs more than 25,000.
Basically they are australia's BBC/PBS/NPR. Public broadcasters, with the ABC being fully gov funded, and the SBS a bit more like PBS/NPR, mostly gov funded. 60% IIRC
Each with 4 tv channels or so. And 50 odd radio channels (a bit hyperbolic, but it's definitely up there). The ABC was a bit more respected, like the BBC. SBS was always lefty cringe and foreign news shit, with occasionally edgy stuff in the evening. It's where we would get south park actually
Remember the internet song and privilege bridge rap? That was the ABC
Yeah.. its gonna be standard.. starts out with porn.. then adult stuff.. then offensive stuff. A retarded country or two will make these kinda laws. Websites start to comply.. and then these websites will might as well make it standard for all.
That's fucking retarded, much of the content children need isn't content that's labeled "safe" for them. They don't need curated propaganda, they need to see the evil of the world and grow to hate it just as I did.
That's a solution to the problem of raising your own children. It's not a solution to other people raising their children.
I want the fewest 8 year olds looking at debauchery and the dregs of adult life as possible, but without turning the adult internet into a playground or worse a panopticon prison.
What we need is an easy app for turnkey identity theft. I'm sure there have been leaks of massive troves of government id data, so just make that available. If they require taking a selfie, AI tech can already do this it just needs to be made normie accessible.
It feels like the Karens are looking at ways to increase control of the tax cattle because they might be upset their countries are destroyed.

Democrats will embrace it
Most republican politicians will too.
Yep, good bye to being able to have discussions.
Then we can cancel them for being racist since black people don't know how to get IDs.
Start archiving those voter ID articles now. They'll be useful when the time comes.
Republicans might push it first to protect the children.
As long as it isn't required to be able to vote, of course. Now that would be wrong.

Nah mate we'll lap this up.
Google is probably drooling over this. So much verified personal data.
And so are VPN providers, I guess.
Who could have seen this coming... we all called it.
I don't know what this means.

If you've not seen them? We'll you're in for a treat, assuming you like cringe.

The actual solution is to make sites have to mark child-safe content, instead of gatekeeping adult content away from kids.
HTTP header "Age-Rating: MPAA(PG13), ESRB(E10+), ..."
Then no content is available to kids unless specifically vouched for, no ID check needed just turn on kid mode on their phones/computers.
Anybody with actual content for kids Disney or W3school or whatever will mark it kid safe and nobody else has to do anything.
That's fucking retarded, much of the content children need isn't content that's labeled "safe" for them. They don't need curated propaganda, they need to see the evil of the world and grow to hate it just as I did.
youtube got destroyed pretty badly because of "age restriction"... it killed off a lot of content because it was no longer monetizable.
Yep.
Then just turn off the child mode on your kids' phone. Duh.
The ACTUAL solution is parents actually raising their children.
But that's ridiculous, I know.

Shimoneta was fucking prophetic
Insert prison island joke here.

Hmm what do all these countries like aus,UK,NZ,canada have in common and do the other lesser ones like Jamaica and so on have the same problems?
