I didn't take it because of several reasons, primarily because of one man: Carl Denninger at market-ticker.org. Some of the in depth posts he did before COVID first hit here made me doubt everything that the authorities said about COVID, and having already been given an "experimental" vaccine in the military (Anthrax) I wanted nothing to do with this new one.
As a retiree the DoD couldn't make me get it, either, so I noped out of it. I knew the mask mandate was crap, too, due to the NBC training I've had, so I didnt wear a mask at all, either.
Scott wasn't exposed to any of that, of course, so he was still reliant on institutional sources of knowledge, and it bit him big time.
Even normies should have been able to see the massive flip between "stop panic buying masks they don't do anything" to "wear masks all the time everywhere". Or the big PSAs about masks not stopping smoke - when smoke particles are much larger an airborne virus.
Or when it went from "children are immune to it" to "shut down the fucking schools, force toddlers into masks" in about a month. Or the classic "Covid can tell when a protest is about racism, and steers clear, but otherwise will kill you dead if you go outside."
We had all the necessary suspicions to know they weren't to be trust before summer hit, months before even the earliest vaxx came out.
The doctors and experts endorsing BLM riots in the middle of a “deadly pandemic” was the absolute show stopper. I still had some lingering doubts about the total corruption and politicization of covid prior to that moment.
No one's been able to tell me why a disease that has a 99.9% survivability rate become 85% fatal in a hospital. Whatever happened to "pink bubbles" being a symptom of Covid? Why did we stop using respirators? Was Remdesivir & Respirators the correct treatment when we physically banned people from taking HQC or Ivermectin?
How come Covid cured the Flu?
Or, my favorite way to re-create the "What does God need with a Starship?" scene from Star Trek 5 in real life:
"How do the unvaccinated infect the vaccinated if the vaccinations work?"
Their (false) claim was that it wasen't airborne, it was borne and transmited by surface contact ( 0 to negligible ) to droplets ( irrelevant because it's airborne anyway ). The cope? They couldn't know it was airborne.
Except it was documented since Febuary 2020 that it was airborne. So they lied. Again. About pretty much everything.
Or the flip from, "I'd never take a Trump vaccine" to "this is the safest most effective medication in the history of all medications and you'd better take it or we're going to keep you locked in your house forever and not even let you have a remote work job."
This was the most important flip, everything else COULD be argued as "we learned more" which I'm 100% fine with, knowledge that you could be wrong should make you hesitant to inflict suffering in the name of the greater good, but NOT doing that is a failure, not a conspiracy.
The mask flip isn't that. When they flipped, their claim was that they KNEW masks worked, but lied because they needed to manage supply. Which again, as a game theory question, that's a reasonable line to take.
But what it means is, "we will lie to you about the choices you make for your personal health to protect the whole. If we believing lying to you so that you harm yourself will protect n+1 people we will do it"
And again, fine. Perfectly reasonable. But you have destroyed entirely your moral position to demand i listen to you without question. Either masks work or they do not. Whether they lied the first time or the second time doesn't matter, because AT BEST their highest moral claim is that they lied for good reasons.
Fine, but that means I have to make my own choices.
Just so you know, air filters have a weird dip there they work for particles much smaller than the filter size and larger, but ones closer to the filter size aren't caught. The large particles get physically caught whereas the small ones get stuck in eddies (analogous to getting stuck under a dam).
Although to effectively catch small particles the air needs to pass over it many times, so your house air filter can catch them, but a mask won't catch many.
And a paper mask doesn't seal at all, so it does virtually nothing. The purpose of those is to keep stuff from getting in your mouth, and block your own sneezes, while you do delicate work. For example in surgery, you don't want blood getting in your mouth. They don't do anything to airborne particulates.
My position has always been that many of them DO care. But they don't care in the same way that YOU do.
Power corrupts and all that, but the cruel version of that is the easy one. There's also the "small crimes" version, where when confronted with hard choices, each time you make one it makes it easier to do something a bit worse.
Monster you be lest the monster you become.
So you're in charge of health. You WILL watch people die, you WILL make choices that kill people. And if you don't have a strong moral foundation to begin with (and you don't. Less than 5% of humanity does) you become comfortable visiting unnecessary cruelty on people based either on the absolute coldest blood math at best, and to make your job easier at worse. What's one more?
I knew the mask mandate was crap, too, due to the NBC training I've had, so I didnt wear a mask at all, either.
That's the nuttiest shit.
I remember going into a store and everyone was wearing those stupid face-diapers. Then some dude came in full MOPP gear. People were looking at him like he was crazy.
I was just thinking, "He's the only person in here with something that actually has a chance at not getting Covid."
If you really worried you're gonna get Covid, no cloth mask with a Marvel character on it is gonna stop it.

This too. I thought for sure the riots would kill the lockdown bullshit but nope, they went right on believing it anyway.

I didn't take it purely because it was coerced on us, and they tried to shame us for it
when was the last time the (((Government))) actually cared about the people's health? we're just guinea pigs to be experimented and milked for $hekels

Bingo. Carl posted the original "Why did the flu go down by the exact amount Covid went up?" info that should have been the wakeup call to everyone.
I'm specifically talking about the analysis he did with the Diamond Princess outbreak, and his hypothesis that it was spreading through fecal contact.
How did Covid cure the Flu?
How many people die from the Flu every year again?
Brother stop making excuses for vermin.
That's the nuttiest shit.
