It’s also employs a lot of people. You have merchandise and the people making, designing and selling it. Not to mention getting and the raw materials all of which also needs to be shipped. You have all the people employed at stadiums and all those stupid talking heads that I fucking hate. Actually the minimum salary in the NBA is $1.1 million since it's a tiny league, it's the NFL where the vast majority of players are deep into the roster and practice squad that make like $100k a year. Nothing to sneeze at for playing football, but a far cry from the stars.
