It seems to me like the numbers from Big Data Poll suggest that most Americans think that Trump is trying to do the right thing economically, but most of the ones who are concerned are ones listening to economists literally screaming that Trump is, word for word quote: "an unbelievable fucking idiot. There is a large segment of the economist community absolutely losing their shit, and in a way that I've never really seen before. That seems to be what is trickling down to people who are unsure. We've just got a fucking stellar jobs report, and wages are increasing faster than inflation, and as a result the real economy is starting to do good for the first time since Covid, and instead the foreign investment and managerial class are taking the only loss since 2020 and 2008, and they can't seem to stop it.

P.S. : If you think voting liberals = no tarifs, Canada has huge tarifs on many products like eggs and dairy, bans certain imports, and recently added massive tarifs to imports from the USA.

That sucks, I feel bad for the dude. It’s not his fault that mega corporations lobbied for NAFTA/GATT and Henry Kissinger pressured Bill Clinton to sign it. Had our politicians not gone down that path and made bunch of one sided trade agreements, the shoe salesman would’ve probably been buying shoes from former American manufacturers like EJ’s to sell in his store at a reasonable markup. Almost nobody can compete against major corporations selling products in the U.S. without utilizing the same foreign manufacturers the corporations do, unless it’s a product those nations don’t make for some reason. Our politicians sold us the fuck out, and there’s no way to get around the pain we are going to have to deal with to get some of those manufacturing jobs back. We can’t afford not to do this, it’s a major national security threat to be reliant on nations who could become our enemy overnight and cut off our supply of products that are vital to the survival of millions of American lives.

Trump's plans were pretty well known, and his hate of Chinese imports even more so. This guy had more than enough time to begin to adjust his business out of a situation where abusing that shit was how they operated. And if they couldn't remain in the black while doing so, then well in polite terms "fuck em." We shouldn't gimp our country's economy to make sure failed businesses and industries can remain alive.
