They tolerated Obama's bombings of other countries and swept aside the deportations and all the other bullshit because he was their guy. They pretended to be happy.

They were not happy when Trump was in office in 2016.

They tolerated Biden's fuckups because he was their guy.

They will not be happy now that Trump is back in office.

Conclusion: They will never be happy.

Obama: Bush 2.0, now with added racial division!

We'll keep up the forever wars but, now instead of saying how great America is while we bomb foreigners, we'll say how terrible America and Americans are.

Yay.

I do wonder what history (at least, as the left imagines) will think of the Biden administration. Will they just see him as a failed attempt at trying to keep trump out of office? I do note that some presidential rankings usually rate a president's luck, so I think they might rank him very low on the luck scale.

Generally, people who fail even on their own terms are regarded as miserable failures. Biden's raison d'etre was stopping the Bad Orange Man. And he brought the Bad Orange Man back. It's like saying "I'm here to stop communism" and you kill yourself in a bunker as communists are right above you.

They pretended to be happy.

I disagree. I think they were actually happy. They just never paid attention to it. It was all swept under the rug, and the few that did know about it, didn't really care at the time. They don't really care about it now either. It's just something to fuel their partisanship.

That said, Biden is where they pretended to be happy.

Conclusion: They will never be happy.

They'll be happy if the media tells them to be. They were happy with the economy because CNN said it was great.

A reminder that what kicked off the 'punch a nazi' meme was when some faggot (a cross dresser with a shit fetish no less) suckerpunched Richard Spencer in the back of the head, with a running start, and all he managed to do was mess up Spencer's hair a bit.

That's the French for you. Surrendered to the Nazis but have been fighting them ever since. Meanwhile, the US beat the Nazis...and has been surrendering to them ever since.

???

Proto-Fascism actually originates in France. Not all of France opposed the Nazis. The French Foreign Legion was heavily comprised of former Nazis. The French are currently pushing for Nationalists (which we know this idiot thinks are Nazis), so I have no idea where he's getting any of this crap from.

Also, the American Nazi movement has been dead for decades. Once again, Trump's not a Nazi. And if you think he is, then you think Zemour and LePen are as well, and they have a lot of support in France.

None of this comment makes sense.

To be fair, they never had a chance. They didn't adapt in time to WWII tactics. By the time they realized warfare was no longer a methodical slog, their lines were broken and their best troops routed or dead.

Jesus, again there's no knowledge here. There was no such thing as "WW2 tactics" yet. The German military actually recommended not invading France in 1940 because they were concerned the French military would overpower them. On paper... the French army looked like a behemoth in 1940, even compared to the Soviets. The French tactics weren't atrocious, and by 1940 standards their tanks were on-par or better than many German tanks.

The main difference was that the German officer corps happened to be some of the best in the entire war, at a time when the French army was badly under supplied and demoralized with a government that was already falling apart as the war started.

Rommel's famous breakthrough wasn't actually from French cowardice, but because he sent his crack armored units head-long into a French, conscript, reservist battalion which was never really going to do the job. From then on, it was aggression that allowed for the encirclement of French armies. The French (like the Polish) preformed quite well in many positions. All the armies understood what combined arms tactics looked like, it's just that Poland didn't have the capacity or resources to hold both the Germans and the Soviets (who were allied with Germany at the time because everyone likes to gloss over), and the French army was already in shambles when the Germans attacked.

Once again, Redditors don't have any passing knowledge on any subject, just generalized feels and stereotypes.

Such a strange example to champion.

First of all, it's sportsball, which is full of rich, uneducated white men selected only for their hard work and genetic superiority.

Second, this "kick a Nazi" clip is Eric Cantona, a French national playing for Man U. The incident took place in 1995. Cantona is 58 and retired in 1997.

Cantona had been suspended from the game prior to this incident for an infraction on the field. A British fan allegedly yelled at him "Go back to France!", which spawned this assault.

There's no evidence other than retconning that this is "kicking a Nazi" beyond an unhinged wealthy athlete with rage issues committing a felony.

The left is schizo in choosing their idols and heroes.

▲ 8 ▼
– Kienan 8 points 1 year ago +8 / -0

One more wiki excerpt:

In 2011, Cantona said that the attack on Simmons was "a great feeling" and a memory he is happy for fans to treasure, but "... it was a mistake".[74]...In retrospect, Simmons' behavior that provoked Cantona's kick would a decade later be regarded as racial abuse which almost certainly would have forced the partial or full closure of Crystal Palace's stadium, as well as meriting Simmons a considerably lengthier sentence.[76]

What the fuck happened to England? Thanks, I hate it.

More recently when Paul Pogba's Manchester United teammate Marcus Rashford was racially abused on social media,[77] and ex-footballer Garth Crooks said that "[i]f something drastic is not done soon…" there could be an incident between a player and a fan, similar to Cantona's kung-fu kick on the offensive fan in 1995.[78]

Yeah, or successful athletes could practice a bit of restraint like adults and not assault sports fans for words. Sticks and stones, and all that. But it's totally the fans' faults for being mean, when they get kicked in the face.

Let's all fucking chill here with the authoritarianism and pathetic babyish whining too. England, and the West, get your fucking shit together. This is pathetic.

From Wikipedia:

...In an away match against Crystal Palace, Cantona was sent off by the referee for kicking Palace defender Richard Shaw, after Shaw had frustrated Cantona throughout the game by closely marking him.[57] As he was walking towards the tunnel, Cantona launched a 'kung-fu' style kick into the crowd, directed at Palace supporter Matthew Simmons, who had run down 11 rows of stairs to confront and shout abuse at Cantona. Simmons was alleged to have used the words "Fuck off back to France, you French bastard".[57] Cantona followed the kick with a series of punches.[59][60][61]

Yeah. Dude got sent off for kicking someone for...playing soccer in a way that inconvenienced him playing soccer. Then immediately launched himself into the crowd to assault someone else. No mention of Nazis...although the fan does seem to have his own issues. Ahhhh...soccer.

...The fan that Cantona kicked, Simmons, went on trial separately where he claimed that he only shouted "Off! Off! Off! It's an early bath for you, Mr Cantona!", but was found guilty of abusive behavior and handed a £500 fine and banned from the stadium for a year. Immediately after the verdict was proclaimed, Simmons then assaulted prosecutor Jeffrey McCann, for which he was sentenced to a week in jail, plus an additional £500 fine as well as £200 in legal costs.[65][66]

LOL.

Ahahaha.

It's always begging the question with these fucks. My favorite has to be "Well, of course it was a Nazi gesture, he's a Nazi. How is he a Nazi? Well...he did a Nazi gesture, of course!"

If the Nazis were as big of a threat as they like to act like (weird how they were so relatively quiet the last four years, but whatever), you think they could do better than "the crowd cheered for what we're now calling a Nazi salute."

It's amazing, checking in with Reddit and remembering what an absolute bunch of retards they are. It's so retarded it breaks the retard scale, and my mind a little bit. Scrolling through the comments is just absolutely insane nonsense after absolutely insane nonsense.

Also, I've seen a bunch more popularization of the 'US joined the war to stop the communists from looking too awesome' recently. Now, WW2 history is much more complicated than the history books or common knowledge say, but that's just a massively biased and incredibly shallow view of things.

permalink save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– AntonioOfVenice 3 points 1 year ago +3 / -0

The US was helping "the communists', obviously not out of the goodness of their hearts, but because they realized that Germany dominating from the Atlantic to Vladivostok wouldn't be in Murican interests. US policy has always been to prevent the rise of a regional hegemon, whether it's Germany, Russia or China, as that could challenge the worldwide hegemony of the US.

Fascinating how people just make up retarded reasons like "wanting to prevent the communists from looking awesome" & "the US was subverted from within" to try to combat the eminently reasonable.

(Also, it's more complicated than school history books. No actual serious work of history says what these people claim, but that's because they've never read any.)

I don't know if this is what you would call devil's advocate or not, but I think the reason they have not had their equivalent of J6 (yet, at least) is because they are aware that after the amount of people they went after because of it, they know that if there was a democrat counterpart to it, then it would more than likely become an excuse for trump and all the people who support him to send anyone involved, and maybe even anyone who supported the BLM riots, out of the country or even to life in prison. That would leave them with either the option of conceding that all the people trump goes after in that case deserve it or admitting that J6 was just a media panic.

I believe that they probably have enough restraint for now, but it might flare up as the neo-trump era comes to an end.

permalink save report block reply
▲ 8 ▼
– Hellsbells00 8 points 1 year ago +8 / -0

You must be confused. The left has routinely had protests more violent and destructive than J6. They have even had multiple groups break into the buildings while congress was in session and people that actually came into congress armed, or the guy who shot up the congressional baseball game.

The only thing preventing those events from exceeding J6 in national discourse is their media coverage - because the two things that made j6 impressive are the relative LACK of damage and violence from a crowd of that size over an issue of that import, and the incredible demonization campaign in the media.

– MrHeretic 1 point 1 year ago +1 / -0

Ah... that I have forgotten, and I will give you that.

It must have entered my mind that with the increasing distrust in modern news complexes, it would have been much, much harder for the media to hide or downplay a hypothetical incident like that.

Did you miss the weeks-long siege of federal buildings including throwing molotov coktails during the BLM riots?

The gasp forceful breach of the sacred ground of federal institutions by feminists '''insurectionists'' to stop the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh?

That a leftists actually showed to Kavanaugh's place to murder him?

Leftists do more violence than right-wigners. It's just that the media minimises, burries, distorts whatever violence from the left, while magnifies, blows out of proportion, or flat-out LIE to fabricate violence from the right.

I'm sure you heard the ''5 police officers who died in the January 6 insurection''.

Not a single cop died from the January 6 protest/riot. They will never apologize for pushing that lie.
