I'd be more surprised if they DIDN'T have a furry!
Furries have a lot of infiltration in the tech industry, from willing to work as code monkeys for the pay to the ability to go introverted and not need to interact with anyone to do their job.
The issue is when they are encouraged to think they aren't the freaks they are and get confident in their fetishism being part of their public lives. Then we have a problem as we only need to remember Rainfurrest to know how bad it can go...
I…I’m afraid to ask, and I certainly don’t want to google it…but rainfurrest?
This video from Internet Historian gives a good overview of what happened without it scarring you for life.
Long story short, it was so bad, MULTIPLE hotel and convention centres banned them.
Well, that’s about the sort of degeneracy I expected.
Thank you for reminding me why I built a flamer, brother. A heavy flamer. The Emperor protects.
I contend that Furries are actually in a significant number of positions of political, economic, and telecom power.
This wouldn't be an issue if a slew of them weren't also being used as stormtroopers for the political left.
It does mean that HR may require "horny jail baseball bats" going forwards.
Well we do know the USAF is infested with them.
Anyway, it would still be a problem. Furries are just one type of hedonists, addicts to pleasure - you don't wake up one day and order a fursuit out of nowhere, you have to fall really hard to find yourself jacking it to antropomorphic animals, so hard that normal porn doesn't do it for you. There's a whole rabbit hole (NOT LIKE THAT) you have to crawl through first. It's how addiction progresses, you have to become increasingly extreme just to get high as you get used to whatever you're taking. And people like this must never be allowed near any levers of power because they will do anything to satiate their increasingly deranged fetishes, as well as to keep themselves safe from the normal people, because they know that the average Joe would hang them if he had any idea what they've been up to.
I actually don't think it's a "degenerating into it" situation, but is instead a kind of self-grooming with pornography. I don't think you're going to find any cases of men who are consuming normal pornography, stop consuming that porn and switch to drawn or animated fictional characters. We certainly don't see older men switching into furry porn from regular porn. And furries are very clearly younger and male.
What I argue is that you have emotionally under-developed young men that find anthrophomorphic (literally human-like) characters to be very relatable. These anthrophomorphic characters are literally designed to be simple and easy-to-understand symbols of specific behaviors, attitudes, mental states, or emotions. As such, they tend to be extremely relatable because they are literary devices that act as a stand-in for the viewer's own internal dialogues. If these characters exude any kind of sexuality or romance, this can basically "cross wires" in an emotionally under-developed young man who can suddenly find that relatable character to be the closest thing they have to a "crush". Obviously most movies and TV shows don't go too far due to broadcast restrictions, but if these young men have access to internet porn, suddenly they'll literally have porn of those characters; which if viewed repeatedly will effectively groom their sexuality towards those characters rather than real women.
This is a long-winded way of saying, Krystal from Star Fox didn't make anyone a furry; it's that young men basically used Krystal as an outlet for sexual frustration that caused them to groom themselves into furries with internet porn.
This likely isn't any different from the rise of hentai use among young American men. I think all of the mechanisms are the same, the target of attraction is just slightly different
Funny you should say as hentai spun off of furry (well, anthropomorphic animal) art - Osamu Tezuka had a sketchbook of funny animal people inspired by Disney, which was the major influence on anime in postwar Japan.
Sorry, I don't mean to say that. "Furry Art" as a thing we've seen emerge is a western phenomenon, not an eastern one. Hentai just has a similar effect of causing men to self-groom with pornography. Anime and Hentai just don't get the level of scorn that furries do because they are almost entirely human, to the point it's not really even appropriate to call anime characters anthrophomorphic. They are, at worst, almost exclusively human, but then someone drew cat ears on their head.
Sounds more like a warning, like a fable with a moral lesson: don't interbreed or you'll create a deranged abomination.
the title even says "the collapse of culture and relationships"
This (and the other similar stories that were leaked) all read as fables. They're fucked up in the way fables often are, and they're not really all that salacious or pornographic.
They're reminiscent of stories that actually made it into some of the games (particularly the 4th gen ones).
Some fables are difficult to read because of how graphic they are...this one is going to give me nightmares.
A story similar to this was in the Japanese versions of Gen 4, which I only know because I know some very…interesting people because of my hobbies
This leak is pertaining to the games of that era, so....
There’s a bunch of stuff in those leaks. Might have to read some of it myself.
Hey did you know
Imma be honest, this sounds more like Palworld.
Not to mention, I'd like to point out that the probability of someone working for GameFreak or The Pokemon Company and being attracted to Pokemon is 1.
I'm not sure hat to do with this information.
How is it Gamefreak or Nintendo related?
It seems like a poorly written fanfiction with no source.
Gamefreak got massively hacked and the material is being leaked currently. Design & pitch documents, unused Pokémon designs, source code for some of the games, etc.
This is "official" material not fanfiction, it just was never meant to be seen by the public.
Or it's ideas they discarded because they realized these were bad ideas.
Referring to "story" bits like OP shared. Which, again, were discarded.
There are a lot of them, seemingly written over a period of time. All by the same woman too.
So its less that they discarded them for being bad ideas and more like the office horny goblin kept writing her own smut and kept it on company computers.
Isn't this some kind of a retelling of a really old folk's tale? Or inspired by it? The way it's written, the completely casual way it describes poking eyes out and cutting off limbs and that kind of stuff, it gives me a very medieval vibe. Like someone took some 15th century tale and just substituted fairies for pokemon.
That’s the vibe I get as well. If you make this a dryad or some goddess instead of an octillery, you basically have the origin story of a Greek hero.
Look up the origin story of the Merovingian kings ....
That was kinda obvious due to how strange the designs have gotten lately.
Not helping things.
Two of the specific Pokemon named were Octillery and Typhlosion, not the ones you'd expect. Typhlosion literally kidnapped a woman and raped her for years to have his children.
Octillery isn’t too surprising, given the infamy of tentacles as a part of Japanese porn. It is maybe a little surprising that it’s male human/female Octillery, rather than the other way around.
I haven’t read any of the leaks other than the one in this post, but just judging from this, I would believe it if someone told me these were loose retellings of actual Japanese folktales.
The assumption with it, based on what made it into the games themselves, is that its all just Yokai shit (as always) with the demon named crossed out and a Pokemon put in. So its almost certainly that.
Double so because they are all written like ancient parable stories, and not saucy rape fantasies.
Also the Octillery one was clearly popular because the Lapras one is literally the same story with the names exchanged.
