Monkeypox outbreak?
All those open sores on the cast would be the most period authentic part of the whole show.
All these failures of modern woke media gives me the urge to do the cringy thing of dabbing on them.
We reached peak saturation where normies can't be sold on woke and there's no ESG money to pay them off so it's just an income drain to be woke.
I'm just laughing my ass off, with a big bucket of salt & sweet popcorn, hoping the coup de grace this year will be AC Shadows release as I will be smiling like the Joker if that flops spectacularly.
Given the similarity, why not do the Kamen Rider pose instead?
It withstood a tsunami, for crying out loud!
Hmm, I am a bit weeb, I'll allow it lol
QE=Quantative Easing?
Yes, the technical term for "money printers go brrrrr"
Precisely.
Come men, let's charge the gates of Jerusalem!
Little electric whirring noises as his wheelchair moves
You think they'd learn by now. There's plenty of black historical figures and stories to tell. Seems like they are far more interested in stealing White culture and history than talking about their own.
Because a lot of those black historical figures were the ones running the slave trade out of Africa, similar to what is happening now with all the trains, planes, and automobiles doing the same types of large scale transport. Like the recent production about some African queen only for the production to completely 180 her history on the matter and have her against it.
And it still failed because even with the full whitewashing of her history they pissed both sides off. One for the historical bullshit and the other for daring to bring something negative about a negro to a chud talking point.
I think an accurate portrayal of African slavery would be great. Ideally it could open some eyes of those who think the west invented slavery.
They can't touch anything having to do with Islam unless they get it 100% right and the Muslims are the protagonists, otherwise they come to the studio and throw a little peaceful tantrum.
Amazon, amazon, amazon... There's this thing called "uncanny valley". You can't be too close to reality but then completely miss the mark at the last furlong. If you have a black gay disabled British monarch, you gotta also make him a lightning wizard bloodmage, who can shapeshift (and that one just happens to be his preferred form).
Then you get to have your ridiculous royals, but it more firmly separates the series from reality, backing away from the History uncanny valley. No one cares if you have a medieval England styled show, only if you have a medieval England historic show.
You say that, but I also would not watch a show about a gay disabled wizard with a fetish for Blacks. And if his entire kingdom was clearly modeled after medieval Europe and populated by Whites, I would still call it bad world building to have him be obsessed with being Black—unless that was a deliberate point of contention where his court and subjects dislike him for it. And are right to do so.
Oh yes, he'd have to be a villain in such a context, or at least an antagonistic figure.
On principle I’m still going to supply an archive link, but at least this site is an improvement over direct linking the BBC and The Guardian.
I don´t have that much time on my hands, sorry.
It took me less than 30 seconds. If you happen to get unlucky with the queue, you can always open another tab and leave it alone for a couple minutes.
then don't post
It’s only a matter of time before one of these companies course correct so hard they remake the Man Show but with VTubers as hosts.
My problem is getting captchas when visiting archive.
I genuinely thought the pictures of this show were complete satire until just a couple days ago.
I think they realized that if the king of england was black, that means a black was responsible for colonization. Colonization is one of the reasoning leftists use to justify killing white people off. I guess they saw that it goes against the message. Lawl.
That and the syphilis issue which is only a few steps away from monkeypox.
How does buggering someone who likely can't feel anything under the waist work? Seems like you're just a fleshlight.
so how many good original show pitches were rejected only to see this pile of shit produced
I’ve often wondered that too. Amazon is the company that turned down a Conan series due to toxic masculinity
i would love a true conan series, but i’m sure it would be woke and terrible if made today
Agreed. Recently read the original stories by Howard and was thinking an adaptation that was faithful would be a huge money maker today
Lmaoooo. I saw the set photos from this. You'd think if they're self aware enough to not release it they'd know not to greenlight it in the first place.
But will they learn? Probably not. They had a focus group watch that League of Their Own reboot and the focus group said there was too much gay stuff but the showrunner ignored that critique
They remade League of their Own? I just found out Disney is going to make a Sandlot TV series. Is nothing safe?
I can't wait till they give Back the Future the remade for a new audience treatment. It's going to be
so badgreat!Yea they turned it into a miniseries where apparently it “addresses racism and represents lgbt” like every other current year show. Why bother doing another sandlot? I thought the creator of back to the future said there will never be a remake. Honestly if they did it would be a black or Hispanic teen lecturing people in the 80s/90s
