Making glider guns is more fun than anything these guys are able to come out with though.

When I first read 1984 I thought it overly exaggerated how quickly people forgot or were willing to forget the cost and availability of chocolate rations and who they were at war with. I also thought that most people in first-world countries had reached the psychological level of self-actualization.

Now I see that I was wrong on both counts.

There was an episode of South Park where they travel to the future and everybody is part of a "science!" religion.

At the time I thought, "this is funny, but that's not how science works."

But Trey and Matt were right. That's not how science works, but it is how people work.

We carry a brick containing essentially infinite knowledge in our pockets, but people choose to be retarded.

Yes, it's real. And the Tweet.

It's amazing, they just can't help themselves. People were joking about how they'd report on this ("Trump gets in the way, delaying medical care for elderly rally-goer" and the like), but this is worse.

Absolutely shameless.

EDIT: And this one is even worse. "Donald Trump abruptly stops North Carolina rally, seeks urgent medical aid: 'A Doctor, Please!'" Also, they bury the explanation at the bottom of the third paragraph. At least The Newsweek article immediately tells you what's going on, and "only" misleads with the headline.

You show him: He doesn't look. Effort: Wasted.

He looks himself: It plants a seed in his psyche, creating lasting effects.

nobody looks up screenshots, mostly because google buries the results. Doctored screenshots are the tool of well poisoners looking to spread (actual) false information. Better to source everything.

If they still trust goigle results, there's probably no helping them.

And where has this method gotten us?

They don't look at it when you show them.

You have to make them look themselves.

for one, it's largely kept us from perpetuating hoaxes. Disregarding that, posting the source link leads them directly to the information you want them to read so there's no guesswork.

I cannot imagine how anyone could think that showing someone a picture of a gourmet dish without context is better for teaching them to cook than providing the recipe.

The results speak for themselves.

What have we won by just shoving it in their faces?

They have to look for themselves.

No man can hate journalists as much as they deserve.

At this point it's not even news...that Trump is human and CARES about his followers. He's done this multiple times or stopping his rally to wait for a doctor to then only start again when the person is alright.

The media both is TDS and can't understand TRUE empathy.

Always bully journalists.

Also, roundhouse kick journalists, slam dunk journalists in to trash cans, etc. etc....

I actually thought they were going to do a variant of the "loud noises" headline. They basically did. Fuckin' Christ.

''A Person Is killed as Violence Erupts at Far-Right MAGA Trump Rally, Trump Directly Involved.''

~A sincere journoïd headline about the assassination attempt. ( Edit : it's a satyrical joke not a real headline. )

Sorry I was making a joke, it's not an actual headline. I have thus commited a journalism by inducing readers into error.

Browsing reddit before checking the poe page, as I'm permabanned I get to see every "top" post on the front page.

Wall to wall orange man bad, very obvious bullshit and the left jacking each other off about Harris.

Tbh I didn't see this one though, yet. You think you hate journos, but you don't hate them enough.

The other week Walz did something similar by getting an attendee a bottle of water and Reddit was pretending like Walz was Jesus Christ himself for the obvious stunt.
