Does it seem like a joke, yes.
Is Ubisoft retarded enough of doing that to one of the few franchises they have with an active player playerbases, yes they are.

Yeah, just scrolled through the operators: Gay, Trans, Non-binary, Fat, Weird looking angry black woman, Indigenous (and proudly used consultants), Buff farmgirl (no identity nonsense, I think, and far from the worst offender, but a bit weird looking).
So, yeah, wheelchair lady is completely on brand.
It's too bad, the game is pretty fun, as I recall. I have fond memories of playing people like Dokkaebi and various others. And, although I stopped playing before then, Kali looks interesting. I love me some snipers...and apparently hers has an underbarrel grenade launcher that burrows through walls?
Also, what's weird is, there's a mix. They still release conventionally attractive characters, it seems, so they didn't go full regressive like League of Legends did for a while...that still cracks me up; imagine a major game proudly proclaiming they won't release attractive female champs. In a free to play game. That makes their money through skins. Absolutely braindead.
At least we can take some solace from the fact that trannies seethe that all the trans vidya characters pass better than they ever will.

I’ve been listening to the old audiobooks since I read many of the books when I was younger, and what’s become of the IP is such a tragic joke. I’m listening to Without Remorse and it would have been such a great movie. I refuse to watch the movie Amazon made that apparently has practically no overlap with the book besides the name. Then I plan on listening to Rainbow Six and this game looks like it’s just hijacking the Rainbow in the name to mean the pride rainbow
I WISH Rainbow Six would have gotten a book-accurate film adaptation in the early 2000s, back when studios actually gave a damn about the product.

I've never played this game and I have no idea if it's real or not, I just ran across this on a forum.
I liked Bentley in Sly 3 because his tricked out rocket wheelchair fit his technical role on the team. l don't question the logistics of him getting around, much less platforming and fighting, because it's aesthetically a cartoon.
I look at this, and I find myself wondering how this person isn't more of a hindrance than a help in any combat situations. Can't wheel a chair and shoot at the same time, after all.
If the idea is that she fights with robots, why the hell would she be in the field? Also, if we're jumping the shark with fucking robots, why not just give her exo-skeleton legs or some shit and have her gimmick be that she can jump high and not have to rapel down surfaces?
Like, you can be creative and still have muh representation in a way that at least makes some sense in the world this game supposedly inhabits.

The idea of R6 Siege has called to me constantly as what seems like it should be fun, and then every single time I think about trying it another demerit happens.
