Can’t say I’m surprised. We can’t let our guard down. I’ve seen some saying this will be easy for Trump but I feel they will pull out all the stops and the media will be carrying water like never before.

A court case will come out of it later, but it will be after the fact, they will be told, "You shouldn't have been able to do that", and the response from them (and the media) will basically amount to, "But we already did. Oh no! Anyway..."
And then they'll be fined $8000 because the justice system is 100% fair.
Then they'll go legally harass Trump with the exact same accusation and sentence him to jail
I don't know if it's accurate, but I've seen it being said that since the Biden donors contributed to a "Biden/Harris" ticket in the first place, they can. In fact that might be the main reason why the Dems are pushing her: because she was the only one who could use those existing donations without legal risk.

A bunch of huge donors were holding their donations to wait and see what was going to happen. It was money that was already earmarked to go to a campaign, they just didn't know whose.

My hunch is they'll be strong-armed into putting that cash into the campaign if they haven't been already.

I could have sworn that reports were coming out less than a week ago that Biden would not be seeking re-election, and Kamala would not be the candidate endorsed by Democrats. About a week ago, I was hearing reports that Biden was not dropping out of the race. What is even happening?
They're panicking and falling apart. They probably thought they could get Biden through to January and then 25th him, but either his cognitive decline suddenly worsened or he's having some other health problem that's made it impossible.
On top of that, it's obvious that some people in the establishment were banking on Trump nor being around by this point.
