The Logitech mouse that I've used for nearly ten years is starting to crap out. I need a new one and am overwhelmed with choices. The only hard requirement I have is that it's a wired mouse—I refuse to use wireless. No budget requirements. Which wired mouse do you like to use for gaming? Any recommendations are appreciated. Thank you!

What are your needs, and what do you play the most?
MMOs/3d modelling and needing 20 buttons and modifiers and such like the old OOP g600?
Normal gaming? g502
Large hands?
As a large handed MMO nerd I dread the day my current g600 dies... Corsair seems to have a similar product though since it made me paranoid and go looking.
I don't think I can live without the mod paddle anymore sadly... makes so many games so much better to handle.
I'd also like to see more mice with weight trays as making something a bit heftier can be better for some, but it's a niche thing that usually only goes onto FPS mice.
ive got a 2nd for just that eventuality yeah, once I learnt they were OOP.
oh shit. that's uh... I may need to as well
EDIT:
Looks like the G600 is presently on sale at Logitech's site; probably because they're clearing out stock. If you're in a similar boat, the price direct from logitech is 40 bucks.
By comparison Amazon is selling them for 80-- used, second hand market.
Do with this what you will.
I have a Mad Catz R.A.T. 8+. It's the most comfortable mouse I have ever used, since I have bigger hands.
You can swap out the palm rest and the pinky rest with either plastic or rubber pieces (the rubber degrades after a while so i go with plastic)
It lights up rgb, has a button to slow down your cursor, and has a sensitivity changer as well. There is a second scroll wheel by your thumb.
The only issue I have with it after a couple years of ownership is the main scroll wheel is jumping.
I had no idea Mad Catz made computer mice, but after googling that name I am completely unsurprised by what I see. That thing looks like a Transformer got shot mid-transform, then shoved into a trash compactor. What in the fuck, man.
I knew it would look like shit. Problem is, I totally need a pinky rest. I'll have to research that now. I didn't even think it was a thing but it's one of the reasons I hate MnK gaming.
My R.A.T. was far and away the best mouse I've ever owned or used, period. The day the sensor died was one of my saddest days. I've still never found anything even remotely as comfortable, modular, or functional as the R.A.T., and finding a functional one on eBay for a fair price is nigh impossible.
Love the way it looks and I have a similar mouse that I use for much of the same reasons (but not for gaming).
I have a Ragnok for FPS gaming, which is pretty cool and surprisingly comfortable even for long gaming sessions.
G502. It's the standard for a reason.
My Razor Basilisk has served me well so far.
The actual mouse is solid build quality, the tracking laser is excellent, and there's plenty of bindable extra buttons, although the tilt switches on the mouse wheel are way too easy to accidentally activate, so don't usually use them.
Like seemingly all gaming mice the software to customize it is annoying bloat, but there's an option to store a custom profile on the mouse itself so you don't have to have it running all the time. The internal profiles don't hold lighting info though so if you don't want the rainbow vomit logo you do have to stomach the software.
I just do normal gaming and I've been pleased with Logitech G502. Mice seem to be the only reliable product Logitech still makes.
Logitech G502 HERO High Performance Wired Gaming Mouse, HERO 25K Sensor, 25,600 DPI, RGB, Adjustable Weights, 11 Programmable Buttons, On-Board Memory, PC / Mac https://a.co/d/03GBerVg
Normally I live by buy the most expensive, good quality thing you can afford so you only have to buy it once.
For mice after going down that road I'll say just buy a cheap logitech and replace it every 2 years when the scroll wheel wears out and goes up when you scroll down or it begins to double click.
I have a logitech wired G502 and I really like it. though I've had logitech G mice die every 2-3 years before, this one lasted awhile.
This. Had the 402 before, both worked fine. Went through 3 402s over maybe twice as many years, only went for the 502 this time round because it, like the 402s before, were on offer during Black Friday. They're reliable enough to last and also on offer frequently enough you can get backups for when needed.
Reading the comments, seems like a popular choice.
Depends on gaming options like Vicious said below imo, I have an MMO mouse and a smaller/less button logitech mouse I use.
My logitech is wireless and I prefer wireless as any concept of latency issues or disconnecting are so long gone that they shouldn't even be humored.
Logitech - G502 - feels great and works well for me, big fan so far. They may have a wired version.
MMO Mouse - Corsair Scimitar - wired, works well, don't play MMOs anymore so just going to gather dust.
I'm using that right now, wired yeah.
Same. Wireless just leads to too many other issues.
Razer Deathadder . It's wired and light and really accurate, infinitely varied DPI. The software pisses some people off, but you don't have to use it unless you care about RGB. I also have one that works that claims to be a model year 2013.
Allow me to change your world: https://openrgb.org/devices_0.9.html?search=deathadder
One program to do all the RGB shit instead of having to deal with the trash from Razer, Asus, Corsair, etc. Can be a little less feature-complete, but is muuuuuch more lightweight and won't constantly try to sell you things or make an account.
Logitech G600.
This is the ideal gaming mouse for anything that doesn't require 360 no-scoping levels of precision.
I've been using this mouse for years now and will lose my shit if they ever stop manufacturing it. It is a complete game changer.
You may want to sit down, I've got some bad news.
Please tell me you're joking.
yeah nah it went OOP about a year ago and there's not a successor.
brb, stockpiling several hundred dollars worth of mice from third party sellers.
Consider a vertical mouse. I got one and my wrist likes it. It doesn't twist your wrist like a traditional horizontal mouse.
Surprisingly enough, I've been using a Blackweb gaming mouse from Walmart of all places. It's been holding up for years. Only has 2 extra buttons in the side, but it's wired, you can adjust sensitivity on the fly, and it's pretty rugged. Also cheap.
If you can find it, the model number is bwa15ho121
Steel series Sensei is trash. Had to return it two times. Garbage wheel.
Razer Viper 8K is hit-or-miss. I had to return it two times before I got a good one. They also used defective garbage wheels.
Any old chinese mouse with the buttons you want. They seem to use the similar software for onboard macros and sensitivity switching which could be better.
I am mostly satisfied with my logitech G402 which replaced my superior G5. It has two extra buttons (more than the relatively common forwards and backwards ones) but I don't use them much. One downside is that it is very angular with a bunch of gaps that collect gunk.
