I guess it is hilarious when the information controllers are turning against the ADL. I think it would look even more ridiculous if the ADL started to claim that Wikipedia has been compromised by Antisemites (I don't think that they are going to do that right away, as it would be another blow to them, but I think they might do so if the current israel situation drags on long enough).
I'm sure the ADL will start some campaign behind the scenes to get rid of editors who voted against them and get reinstated. Like, go straight to the Wikipedia higher-ups, cry antisemitism and tell them it would be a shame if something happened to their donations.
No guarantee that that would work, either, since pro-palestinian people might start noticing(tm), or the fact that there is probably a good number of lefty editors that might not take kindly to being called antisemites despite what they believe.
IMHO editors are easily replaceable. Leftist ideologues who do it for free are a dime a dozen. The only power they have is the power they are allowed to have by the people behind groups like the ADL.
The people behind the ADL on the other hand can "convince" payment processors to no longer handle donations for Wikipedia.
