I stopped watching them a good while ago. They're trying to pretend they aren't cucked, and i don't particularly know how to put it but they changed their style of humor and it's just not funny anymore.
They really disappointed when they didn’t really hammer the Floyd riots and Covid nonsense hard. Something they would’ve done in years prior like the episode in the early 00s mocking transgenderism
I still watch but don’t like it as much as before. Simpsons is my all time favorite show but definitely not what it once was. Family Guy, King of the Hill, and Futurama are shows I love as well. I hear talk of a King of the Hill reboot but I hope it doesn’t happen. It did such a great job at poking fun at Texas culture in a loving way.

Even in the good future where the planet isn't perpetually locked down, the show takes the most Enlightened Centrist™ take with the message that Both Sides™ were in the wrong and we should all mellow out.
I haven't seen anything from South Park's recent seasons to compel me to start watching the new episodes again.
It's felt like Ben Shapiro meets SNL for quite a while now.
I feel like the writers only make fun of targets approved by globalist or corporate overlords that are just controversial enough to ruffle a few high profile feathers for the illusion of rebellion, but not so hard hitting as to actually get viewers to question the globalist and misanthropic power structure and culture that Hollywood is such an important part of.
At this point, South Park's role in our culture is to be controlled opposition, in my opinion. Basically, Hollywood's Fox News.
I work with younger adults, due to the nature of my genZ-overpopulated profession. I'm that weird old dinosaur that was young enough to be raised by the internet, but old enough that I still grew up to be relatively normal, so it works well. I'm basically a human arbitrator between genZ and millennials. AMA
Confirmed. I had never heard of this shit, but I asked my middle school aged kid about it. He said oh yeah, tons of kids at school have it, and people are selling it at lunch, and some kids are paying $5 for it!
I’m going to go beyond saying “The Internet was a mistake” and say MASS MEDIA was a mistake.The vast majority of people are just too susceptible to peer pressure and manipulation.
Piggy-backing here to recommend the new movie "Beavis & Butthead Do the Universe," from 2022. They sit in on a class about White Privilege and then walk around being assholes and saying "sorry, I'm White, I can't help myself." They are selected to go into space to help set up a satellite but screw it up horribly, then fall into a wormhole and go back to the 80's or 90s, I forget. It has my full recommendation. Same humor as always.
Saw it and it was pretty crap not much funny offensive stuff in there. And Randy showing his junk all the time also really didnt serve much of a purpose for some good jokes.
I don’t think I laughed even once. Hell I can’t remember the last time I laughed during any recent south parks or the futurama reboot. It’s all so tame and stupid. It’s also clear they let the interns write it so they don’t have to do any work.

Honestly i just thing Matt and Trey are tired. They still do the hectic produce episodes at the last minute right?
