Linking real names has been tried. Most notably on the Blizzard forum, where it backfired almost instantly, with credible threats being thrown around left and right. The crazy people are of course, more prolific at harassing people in real life as well and now you've just empowered them.
Despite what some New Zealand agricultural enthusiasts will tell you, the purpose of doxing is to threaten people. Either directly or stochastically by allowing more dysfunctional crazies to find you. Forcing real name linking would doxing everyone and thus threatening everyone.
Just like Jordan Peterson, it's a perfectly good response if there was some way to only target communists, but that's not what these kinds of calls are for.
